Do you find this statement true or false?

 I think it really all depends on the household. In my house, yes that statment is True. DH never even grew up with any animals until I came along, he loves our dogs but he doesn't think to re-fill their water, or feed them, etc. He knows when Teddi paws at the door to let him out. But when I'm gone and he's here I have to check in to make sure they have fresh water, he fed them, etc.

I do all the feeding, training & grooming.  BF helps with the cleaning, & will help with exercising if need be.

 Unless I am sick, I deal with a majority of our pet's care. 

I'd say generally, yes. Woman have a natual motherly insinct, that men just plain lack.

My dad takes care of the cats in my house, feeds, plays, etc. But the dogs are all me.

Besides, taking Coke out to potty, in my house, the wife (ME!) does ALL, unless she explicitly tells the husband what to do and when.  Monday night I noticed the water in the bucket was basically gone.  At work on Tuesday I remembered I forgot to fill it before I left in the morning, but (stupidly) assumed DH would notice and fill it.  Not so!  The dogs went almost 24 hrs without water, grrr!!  Granted, DH husband does bring his dog to training, but only b/c *I* signed them up and paid for it.  Doubt he would have bothered if it was left up to him.
 

True here. I do everything with regard to the dogs. He gives them attention and will feed or take them out if I specifically ask him to, but that's it. He did alot more when they were puppies, he helped out alot with potty training and general training, but his helpfulness has tapered off.

It is true

 On the few occasions that I travel I always call and remind the DH to feed the dogs and such, if I did not I think he would forget up until the point that he notices them both standing at their dishes drooling like mad then he might remember.

Yep--only I have DS #1 drop the dry food and water in bowls.  I train, do poop patrol, vet runs, do my own vaccinations...well, you ge tthe idea!0

It all depends on the how the statistics were determined.... Self selected participation in a poll does not represent something on which you can make inferences.....It does not represent a typical population.  The results will automatically be skewed in one direction.

It's true in that I do the larger portion of it, but DH does a lot. I do dogs, he does the cats. Occasionally, he'll feed or exercise the dogs or I will feed the cats or clean the litter boxes. But it's pretty much both of us. My job is bigger because the dogs require more frequent grooming, they're larger and we don't train the cats at all.

It's true here, too.  In all honesty, it's because I'm the animal person in the family.  My fil is allergic to every critter under the sun, so my husband grew up without pets.  Now, my husband loves Caleb.  I wouldn't say he loves the rabbit, but I sure have heard him "bragging" on it, tho.  The cat, that's another story.  I know, tho, that he will take care of the critters if I can't.  And, he really does a pretty fair amount of caregiving with Caleb.

 True here. Heck mine doesnt even know how many dogs we have. And then he doesnt know 2 of their names.
