Why do I bother?

    Why do I bother?

BF has been working evenings.  Sometimes to 3 am.  And I've take the time to start training Kali to put herself back to sleep when she wakes up at night.  Its been going great too.  Last night she woke up around 11 and cried out for maybe a minute and then it was over.  I never heard another peep out of her until this morning.  BF is home tonight though and the second she woke up he went in there and got her bottle from her to make her a new one.  Well she screamed the whole time he did that and has just now quieted because he gave her the bottle.  I want to pull my hair out.  Anybody want to place bets on how many more times she wakes up tonight now?

I would bet she's going to wake up quiet a few more times tonight.  Take the night off, & let BF deal with it, if he so chooses.

See thats the thing, I'll still wake up.  I'll still be the one laying there listening to her cry and so will Kale.  He's a pretty light sleeper and he has school in the morning.  Tyler however will blissfully sleep through all of it.  And she can be very persistant when she thinks there's gonna be a payoff.

And for those that might think I'm mean for letting her cry, she's 14 months old and I can safely say now that I know immediately if something is really wrong by the tone of her cry.  She needs that full nights sleep.  Tomorrow morning she's going to be a total crabmonster I can see it already.

Candace, don't take this the wrong way, but I'm so glad that you're dealing with that instead of me!Big Smile

LOL Amanda.. that is funy cuz when I was reading it, I was thinking "thank Gawd we decided on a Vas."  LMAO.

No seriously, kids are great, but dogs some days are enough.  i got the joy of my stepkids for 13 years, without having to go through these stages.  Sorry to hear about the BF.

     That's great Candace!

I shouldn't have said a word last night about "better you than me."   Shooter had an upset stomach, & most of my night was spent running from the bed to the yard.  Darn dog!

Oh, I'm sorry Amanda!  If it makes you feel any better, I still have no running water....if you caught my Wish Me Luck thread.

    • Gold Top Dog

I didn't see that thread.  Sorry to hear that you don't have water.  That really sucks.  Hope that you get water back soon!
