My water pipes have been frozen since Wednesday and its been really really annoying. You never know just how wonderful it is to flush the toilet with just a flip of the handle until you have to pour water down it instead. I've been hauling water from the neighbors house in fairly small jugs for said purpose and one other little jug for drinking. I tried to get a big blue water jug from WalMart, but apparently they only carry them in the summer for camping. Last night my sister told me she had one so she brought it over and I did a few dishes for the first time in almost a week. I'm trying to decide if its a good thing that I have a ton of dishes. I was almost out of clean ones but now I have a million to wash once the water starts running again.
Which leads me to today. My dad has made arrangements to bring in an industrial blower to thaw things out under the house. I have a smaller Kerosene one under there that usually does the trick but I've put $50 of kerosene in it so far and nothing. The bigger one should work. Its one of those ones that they use to heat houses being built in the winter. I'm pretty sure it will thaw everything, including the snow off my roof, lol, but I'm nervous about having that much heat in here. So wish me luck that my house survives and my water starts running again. I gots lots a dishes to do and I can't wait to shower in my own house again! Thanks!
