Mindless Chatter - Monday

    Mindless Chatter - Monday

I think I woke up grouchy today. The dogs are getting on my nerves. I hear lots of growling and banging going on outside of my computer room.

Tons of snow melted yesterday and we got a lot of rain. Today it's all frozen. The roads look like pure ice. My back yard and drive way are skating rinks.  I think I'll just stay in today and watch some movies.

I should probably clean and do some laundry though- bleh.

Oh and I could paint and finish my bathroom. That requires a lot of ambition though!

I have no motivation either, Jewlieee!

I want to just lay in bed all day, but I have already been up, showered and now just about to dry my hair

It is slippy outside, but i think the roads are okay, yesterday everything was covered in ice, but the roads were taken care of, the town can't afford to not take care of them, as there is only one road through town and if no one can drive on it, no businesses will get any business lol.  and well, there are two huge hills between the centre of town (i live on the north hill) so if there are any accidents on those then the town is in trouble!

Bleh. I think I will use my strawberries and champagne body butter, that always makes me fel better about myself (how vain, huh?)

So far today bites.  I wanted to go to bed early last night and was under the blankets by 9:20.  Then my cell phone rang, I didn't know the number so I wasn't going to answer, but DH wanted to.  Turns out that last year when my dad and step-mom when away for the weekend (hotel was free as long as they heard the sales pitch for buying a timeshare) they refered DH and I to get a free weekend also.  Sounded fine, the lady asked a few questions and said that the travel planner would call us back in 10-15 min to schedule.  I fell asleep just before 10, at 10:15 DH put the dogs away and told me he was going to the store to get cat litter (he'd waited b/c they were gonna call) and no one had called us back.

Awhile later the dogs start whining and wake me up, so I call out to see if DH is home (figured that's why they were whining) and he was.  I asked him what he was doing and he said he was cleaning up a mess.  I got up to see what was going on and he was on my laptop.  Appearantly he'd been looking up something before he changed the cat box.  He ended up spilling the litter and after he cleaned that up he noticed an error message on my computer.  He thought he'd broke something and when I asked what he was doing he was afraid to tell me that he broke the computer so he said he was still cleaning up the cat litter.  So we ended up argueing all night b/c I was angry/hurt that he'd lied to me.  (Turns out the computer was fine, the message was just b/c he lost signal, but he's not computer savvy and didn't know right away what it meant)  When I get really angry about something, most times I end up crying.  Plus we'd just had a huge issue a few months ago, and my emotions still aren't 100% after that so I ended up bawling myself to sleep around 1 am.

Then he overslept and I woke him up b/c I happened to wake up,  after he gets up I usually have another 30 min to sleep, well not this morning.  I ended up resetting my alarm to try to get a few more minutes, but forgot to turn it on so then I overslept.  I called my boss and left a message saying I would come in at 8 and make up the time on my lunch break (he doesn't mind us doing that).  Since I was going in later I figured I'd go back to sleep for a little bit....no I tossed and turned and might as well have gotten up and gone in and only had to make up 20 min instead of an hour.  Listenig to the radio on the way in and hearing them talk about people being off today didn't help my mood either.

Now I'm at work and my boss isn't coming in today.  Great, b/c he's supposed to be checking some drawings for me so that I can release them to the shop and he's had them for 3 work days....obviously I'm not getting them today either.

On the bright side, it seems that temp./weather wise it's going to be a nice day....

Well this morning it was pouring rain and I took Bailey out for our usual walk.  Of course she pooped in the least convenient location to the trash, so I picked it up and carried the baggie to my front porch, left it there while I dried off the dog and took out the trash that my fiance left on the deck last night.  Out I go again, poop bag in one hand, soaking wet trash bag in the other.  About 100 ft from the dumpster the wet trash bag bottom falls out, so I'm scrambling to pick up old bottles of milk and egg shells, etc.  It was in that moment that I realized that my hand was covered in dog poop because THAT bag broke as well in the shuffle.  Sigh.  So there I am, in the pouring rain, poo on one hand and shredded trash bag and old food in the other... Sad scene for sure and it was a total "whyyyy meee????" moment and I've decided to work from home today.

    I think it's just crappy cuz it's Monday :/

BF decided to change his major, which I could care less about, but he's dropping two classes. Two classes that I PAID FOR with MY financial aid refund (I earned a full scholarship from the state, plus I qualify for extra $ since my mom doesn't make any money) I just want to say HEY THANKS for wasting $600 of my money, jerkface!! I guess I learned my lesson there :/ .

I need to go meet with my academic advisor soon too, to decide when to take the CLAST and which classes to take this summer. I hate college, boo.

    Dogs are expensive!

A few weeks ago, I dropped Kenya's tags in 2 feet of snow and it has since snowed more.  So I just ordered her new tags.

Both dogs need new county license tags so I'm also sending in money for that b/c the price doubles March 1.

Kenya needs one more leg for her RN title.  The show entry was $20 and the processing fees are $15!! Grrr!

Coke chewed Kenya's lead, the only leash I have that is suitable for AKC competition so now I need a new lead.

Luckily, I'm being retained to re-do and maintain the training club's website so hopefully I'll be paying next to nothing for training from now on.  We like to trade services, the old fashioned way of doing business!

ahhh, slrcmeg that sounds awful!  I'm sorry, and I can see why you would feel pissed off about it!

On a side note, I see you said "jerkface"  that is AWESOME!  I call people that here all the time!  HAHA usually i call my parents jerkfaces (all in fun, mind you) lol and BF I call jerkface loserjunk  :D

Ah, l.michelle, it IS awful, and the WORST part is that I can't yell at him because we made an agreement a while back to try and be less 'critical' of each other, because BF felt like I was treating him 'like a child', blah blah blah. WELL, maybe if you wouldn't ACT like a child, I wouldn't TREAT you like one!! JEEZE!

I'm going to get my girl scout cookies.

And yep, I say jerkface all the time :) along with some other choice names. Especially today.

Dang, that's a bummer (paying for the classes).  I changed majors 5 times, but the way our school works is you pay for 12-17 credits (full time student) and it's a flat price.  You can drop/add courses as much as you want as long as you have min. 12, max. 17.  If you take more than 17, there's an additional price per credit.  If you take less than 12, you are not full time, so are not eligible for most of the aid and scholarships and pay per class.

ek. I took the CLAST test last year... I didn't like it. took foreverrrrrrr. not too hard, just.... pointless - I thought.

DH just called to tell me he's gonna go to the post office and get the mail, call Disney w/ a question about our trip, and scoop the poop in the backyard, which has been accumulating b/c of not fun weather.  If he gets that done he's gonna work on cleaning the kitchen, but promises to be ready to go for a walk w/ me and the dogs when I get home before he leaves for work.  I guess that makes me feel better.  He always become extremely helpful right after an arguement.

I'm hoping my last tax form is in the mail box so that we can get our taxes done on thursday.

I've been known to use Jerkface too, but it's always funny to hear someone say it, which makes it more of a joke then an insult :o)

my formerly retired DH has started a job today Party!!! so I finally have some peace and quiet and can do things my way - yippeee!!

Unfortunately there have been lots of bits and pieces to do today because we are behind due to last week's window project.

I went to Costco today and bought a tray of muffins and have already eaten 2 Indifferent  too bad there isn't an emoticon with a giant belly

Bugsy just ate beef heart and some veggie mush - he happy now.  He is so insanely hungry these days - more so than usual.  I thought he was going to grab the raw leg of lamb off the counter last night.  he was so completely nuts for it.  I don't think I like doggie adolescence.  He has never counter surfed but I wouldn't leave any raw meat out at the moment

I am essentially "babysitting" my BF's nephew so that he finishes his online high school assignments that are due today.  Had 6 weeks to complete them, but, you know, it's always easier to leave everything to the end, isn't it??  HARDLY!!  ugh!

We bought a new bed yesterday.  We got off cheap, by some standards, but I think it was hard for BF to pay more for the bed than he paid for his new big TV... What prompted the purchase??  Well, he slept on my side of the bed Fri and finally realized just how awful it is - and I didn't know there was such a difference until I slept over there!  Every night since then he's slept on my side so that I could get the "good" side.  (Awww!  Thanks, honey!)  I couldn't let him last night, though, because he has to be up at 6am for work, so I slept on the couch.

Tonight is our first training class WITH Jada.... I hope she does well with the other dogs - I have no idea what types of dogs and handlers will be there, but since she can be reactive to other dogs, this group class will be good for her to learn and then mind her Ps & Qs.
