I'm working on eating more nutritious. I won't call it a "diet" because I don't want this to be a temporary thing. I've lost 15 lbs since Jan. 3 but have sort of reached a plateau and have been the same weight for 2 weeks. My goal is to lose 10lbs more, hopefully 5 of those lbs will be before April. I will not wear a bikini unless I have a flat stomach and am fit to wear one! For exercise, I run on an elliptical for 45 minutes, 6 days a week.
In light of the recent plateau, I've decided to try planning my daily meals ahead of time. Last night we went shopping and I got tons of fruit - mangos, strawberries, bananas, oranges, grapes, and plums. Would've got more but nothing is really in season here so it's expensive and hard to find. I really like fruit. The problem is I don't really like veggies. I got pickles which have 5 calories but probably zero value since they are dunked in salt water, and a cucumber which I may or may not eat. I know "fruits and vegetables" are really important, but I've always heard them referred to together, "fruits and vegetables." I know the dark veggies are the best, but I hate raw spinach, hate dandillion, hate asparagus unless it's covered in Velveeta or wrapped in cream cheese which defeat the purpose. I don't like carrots, celery, or anything like that raw. So, since I will eat LOTS of fruit, will that make up for a lack of veggies?
