    True to half her breed....

Shadow finally caught one.  This is what we opened the door too tonight to let them back in after 10 minutes outside.

Not for the faint of heart.  Graphic picture.

She wanted to bring it inside with her.... um, no.  And it was still alive, but not for long.  It died shortly afterwards.  Poor thing.

Shadow brought you dinner!  Poor little bunny.  Well, at least you know that she can catch rabbits!

Could you put a warning on the picture that it's actually your dog with a scared sh**less (literally) bunny in her mouth?  That rabbit looks terrified, and I expected to see a picture of an alive and well bunny/bird/gopher as a reference or something.

Three of my dogs will pick bunnies off too.

Since we've went raw, my attitude has changed from "ewww gross, leave it" to "dinner is served."Wink

Aw, poor thing...  It looks terrified.  Kena is the killer here, but 'thankfully' he shakes what ever he catches and kills it instantly.  Sad  I feel better if they die right away....

Tiku brought a baby opossum inside once, totally unharmed.  I couldn't tell what it was in the dark, and when I asked her to 'out' it, she spat it on the floor and it ran behind my fridge!!  Surprise

What you do with the rabbit?

Yikes, well at least the rabbit sounds as if it died pretty quick.  Thankfully Kirby is too much of a baby to ever think of trying to kill anything he chases.  If he ever catches up to anything he usually ends up just throwing a bunch of play bows to continue the "game."  My praying mantises are the only current killers I have to deal with.

Why do you think I wanna move to the bush!  Get it! Get it!  It don't get no fresher than that!

Aww poor bunny. Dakota is a bunny killer too. She has tried to bring her kills in the house as well - and even her not-so-dead-yet-kills.

Not that I want to see little fluffy bunnies die but it makes me feel better that she can survive on her own if she ever got lost.

What you do with the rabbit?

We tossed it into the woods for the coyotes and other critters to eat.  I contemplated trying to skin it or something, but I don't think I could bring myself to do any such thing.    BF jokes that I'll die if I ever get stranded somewhere with not civilization around.  He's probably right.  ;)

Emma is a bunny catcher, too. She kills them fast, fortunately. I don't think they ever even know they're caught.
