    Not-So-Great Day @ the office

Aside from my EXTREME joy of being engaged... we all just found out horrible news today at the office...

The guy that runs our Marketing Department just found out his wife lost the baby... she was 8months pregnant!!! I gave him leave for two weeks but he said he only wanted one. I told him he needs to go spend time with this wife and take it easy. OMG I can not believe that just happened... I never even thought of complications like that...

Bless his heart & I am praying for his wife.

Hug your babies close today! Be thankful for a healthy birth.... Crying

I am in total shock right now... everyone at the office is all glum now

I really don't know what to do? What do you even say to someone after you hear that? I want to get them a card or something but I don't want them to think I'm celebrating or anything... I have never dealt with something like this

That is very sad. Losing a baby wouldn't be easy at any stage, but at 8 months, it must be especially difficult. I think sending a card is a nice idea. There are a lot of cards that simply say "I'm thinking of you during this difficult time"...or something like that.

    Wow, how devastating. Sad

I think a card would be nice... like Cathy said, and maybe reiterate "take all the time you need" or something.

    Oh no!  How terrible Crying

Send a "thinking of you" card and make sure you say "if you need anything, please ASK me"... even if he never takes you up on that offer, just KNOWING that support is there will make a difference I think.

I feel so bad for them.  I guess I don't know how lucky I am...

[Memo to self - give Will an extra big cuddle in the morning!]
