I never should have gone

Oh, my! TOO CUTE!... I'd say you better start makin' hubby feel like the only way to make this a Happy Valentines Day for everyone   is if he brings home one of those pups!

I can't look at petfinder or the HS sites, it makes me insane. I wanna bring them all home, so I feel for you, having met them in person, I don't know how you left without them. 

They are toooo cute!

 I don't know how I did come home without them.  They are incredible much better looking in person and have a sweet temperament. Tough breed guess though, if they really are 2 months and 30lbs they will be as big or bigger than Bugsy that's for sure.  They are jet black, longer hair than a lab, constant lab type wag though, very heavy boned.  One has longer floppier ears with only a little erectness and the other has shorter much more erect ears.  They have shorter more narrow snout than a lab etc too. they were strays and are VERY bonded to each other which made watching them together heart wrenching.  They would wag in sync and then go sleep all curled up in each other - sigh

When we got home Bugsy was curled up and DH said  "How happy would he be if we brought him two puppies to care for?"

Bugs loves puppies and is unbelievable with them.  Ah well it won't happen so I had best stop thinking about it 

It would have been torture for me to walk away from those faces!

I hope you told DH that Bugsy would be super ultra happy w/ puppies to care for.

Poor Bugsy, no puppies for Valentine's Day

This is the place where we got Bugsy and it is literally around the corner from us - too close for comfort!

And yes they do a great job - super nice staff from top to bottom and the facility is fantastic too.  The Bark & Wine last night had over 230 people pre-registered and had goodness who knows how many walk ins.  One of the people that I know that works there was saying they were worried that next year they might not be able to hold it at the adoption center.  This was only the 3rd year.  It is an amazing mix of people that 'give' up their Valentine's day for the cause.

Aww!  Cupid and Cassanova's paws are HUUUGE!!  They look like they'll be big boys soon!  I will chime in with another vote for unique names!

Little Jet "had me from hello"... SO adorable!  (Just a couple of pictures up from Cupid and Cassanova)

 You can always volunteer!!!!  Then you get all the puppy breath and puppy kisses you want and freedom from the responsibilities.  Kinda like a jump start on grandkids!  That's what I told myself Saturday as I cuddled the 2 cutest black pups who I think had some Newfie in them.  All the fun and you get to give them back!  hint hint nudge nudge wink wink.....  Puppies always need love and socialization and handling......

And the seniors could use some lovin's too.........
