 honestly, i dont know why clemens keeps saying he is innocent. that deal about it wasnt me using HGH, it was my wife... that is stolen right from the cyclists defense book (google Raimondas Rumsas).

 the sad thing is, for supporters of sports like cycling and track and field, we have heard all those excuses, and none of them are valid. for the good of the sport, these guys should just admit their wrong doing and get on with it. as far as i know bud selig isnt going to be handing out any life-long bans any time soon. at most these guys will get a slap on the wrist, and it will be back to business as usual.
 

Uhh, yeah, scathing is certainly a word I'd use here!  Wow.

Honestly, a year ago I'd never have believed this of Roger, despite his defection from my beloved Red Sox.  But, hind sight being 20/20, yeah, it all adds up  and all makes sense now.  And the shame of it is, as great a pitcher as this man once was, all that will be forgotten because of what he did in the later years of his career.  Sad.

And, yeah, I agree...why is this a congressional issue?

 i dont think it should be a congressional issue either. dont our law makers have more important things to worry about like... an impending recession and a war.

Ah, well see the law makers don't live in Michigan where there's BEEN a recession for the past few years. 

Nope, they'd just as soon play with baseball as effect real change.......maybe HELP people??  This scandel is MUCH sexier.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks Congress should have more important things to deal with.

Gina - I watched a bit of the Congressional hearing and thought the same thing.  SO I went to change the channel and for the next SEVEN channels, they were all showing the hearing.  Jimminy crickets!!  I am not a baseball fan, so this was doubly annoying - puts a dirty spin on the sport's players when they shouldn't all be painted with this mess.

Clemens again....apparently the opposition thinks he'd receive a pardon...I think he might too...name dropping the Prez's DAD? Gimme a break...*sigh*. More "justice for some". Be interesting if he gets one...Bush'd have to pardon them all..or none...sez I, for it not to be a buddy buddy pardon.
