It's bright and beautiful here. Blue, sunny sky.....and snowing. Just a delicate, dainty snow, but I don't WANT anymore. The plow guy got here about 3:30 yesterday morning so I can at least get out if I want to. DS went out Monday and got stuck twice in his 4x4 truck, so ain't no way the sportage would have gotten out...4x4 or not. It's so nice to look out the window and see and actual ROAD again. Some of the drifts were up to my waist, and while I'm not all that tall, I've got a 32 inch inseam (all leg) so up to my waist is a LONG way!
I took the dogs out for a romp yesterday and they all started headed back in after about 20 minutes. It just wasn't much fun. The trails were impassible because of the drifts and in the woods, while it isn't as bad, we got stuck a couple times, and I'm not all that fond of having a snow laden branch hit me in the face. Having to untuck to get the snow out of my bra just doesn't do it for me somehow! I think that today we'll just go out front and play a good game of fetch in the plowed area. It's a nice day to get out, but I'm surely not going back in the woods again today.....when the dogs turn around and head for home, that's bad. Normally they'll stay out for at least an hour. Maybe we'll try to see if we can get to the field behind us....that might be ok. The snowmobiles haven't been out much to make paths for us.....I hate the intursion of the darned things, but about now, I'd welcome a path!
And today, I have to try to make some progress on clearing the deck before it decides to collapse. The danged thing is wide enough for my son to park his truck under and the full length of the house...and that baby is FULL.....up to the top of my legs in some spots. I'm not looking forward to that back breaking job.
