For Those of You with Blogs (not just on i-dog)

I found a widget from Petfinder! It puts the featured pet of the day on your blog in a postage-stamp sized picture, with a bit of info and a link to the animal. I'm really stoked! If lots of people put this on their blogs then more dogs and other animals will find homes. Wink

You can get it at: http://www.widgetbox.com     Type "petfinder" into the search box. It's really easy to install. I don't think it would work with the blogs here on i-dog, which aren't real blogs anyway, as far as I can tell.... But it works with blogspot, typepad, wordpress and a whole bunch of others.

You can see it on my blog: http://inktrails.blogs.com  It's on the right-hand side, scroll down just a little.

Oh, and I also found that you could put a little badge for the animal rescue site, too, which I did by going to their site: http://theanimalrescuesite.com

I sure wish the links deal in these posts wasn't disabled!!!!!!!!!

I'm bumping this because this board doesn't say how many views it has had so I have no idea if anyone has read it.

Just think how many dogs we might help find homes if we all put this petfinder thing on our blogs! It localizes to your area, too. At least it did to mine, when I look at it I see dogs from my area.

Could someone please look at it and see if it is smart enough to show dogs from YOUR area when you are viewing my blog? If it does that, it's exceptionally smart and effective.

I will help you bump it Jean. I will see if I can figure out how to add it to my blogger accounts. I write on average once or twice a month.

ETA: Added to both, and that was sooooo easy! Thanks!

Wow, neato! I looked at your blogspot blog and the cat it showed me was from Alaska. I think it automatically shows you animals in your area, that is, if you are in PA viewing the blog, it shows you animals from PA, if you are from OR, it will show you animals from OR.

    Excellent!
