Buster food cube?

    Buster food cube?

My dogs love their kongs so much that I'm thinking of getting one of these buster food cubes so they can eat all of their meals out of it (the kong isn't big enough). Plus it would be great for them to take time eating while I'm in the shower in the morning! Normally they eat their food in a matter of seconds.

Has anyone used one of these? Will it hold a cup of dry food for example? Do your dogs like it?

Capacity for the buster cubes is well over 1 cup I would say. They can be rough on wood flooring and baseboards btw. I like Walmart's round treatball (about $6 the last I checked) as it doesn't thump around as much and is easier to load.

I also LOVE the Tug a Jug by Premier - not good if your dog flings things, but it's the only treat dispensing toy my girl doesn't empty in 5 mins flat. :)

Yeh, the good thing is, you can alter the difficulty by the size of the treats. To start with, use cheerios, then kibble or other small treats. To make it harder, you can add a ball in the jug or a larger dog treat that can't come out but acts like an obstacle to add to difficulty of getting the treats out.  The rope is easy to replace too should your dog chew through it.

My girls love their Buster Cube, but I'm not too big on it.  It makes too much noise, and you have to watch it around your furniture.  It would be great if you use it outside.  As someone already mentioned, that treat ball at Wal-Mart is great.  It doesn't make much noise, but I actually find it a bit harder to fill.  Out of all my treat dispensing toys- the Moleculeball is my favorite.  It's quieter and not hard on the floor or furniture.  But I think it only holds about a half a cup of kibble.

Molly has the dispense-a-treat that I got at walmart. She doen`t like it as it makes so much noise as it is hard plastic. Then I got her the Talk to Me treat Ball she didn`t like that one either as it was smaller but still made to much noise when rolling. So now she has a Amaze-a-Ball and she loves it as it made out of rubber and not plastic so it makes no noise when she rolls it around. Got it at [linkhttp://www.jbpet.com]www.jbpet.com[/link]
