Poll:Tasty Kakes

I've only had Tasty Kakes once, (lucky for my butt they don't sell them here!) ... Annie was kind enough to send some so I could see what all the hoopla is about.

Holy moses.... I had to vote for the the first option.  Seriously delicious!

    Thanks again, Annie!

    wheee hee!

I've never had one but based on the picture and description, I'm 100% sure I'd love them. Wonder why they don't sell them out here?

    Love that picture Gina!!!

I don't know what they are!  I am deprived right?

Umm... in order to do a tastykake swap, you'd have to get all of us in the Philly area involved, and you'd have to set it up so that we'd be swapping with people not in the area. I'd be willing to do that though, or maybe if we swap local goodies, and only some of you would be lucky enough to get to swap with those of us in tastykake land.

Also, to whoever asked, a butterscotch krimpet is a type of tastykake.

    • Gold Top Dog

Um, some of us in TastyKake land are already working on a swap with an unfortunate who cannot get them.  Big Smile

Annie, just something I was mentioning there, and possibly rubbing in the faces of those not in tastykake land just a bit more. You're all so deprived.

Chuffy, you have no idea what you're missing.

And, I went out to Wawa just a few minutes ago to get a butterscotch krimpet. Those of you who don't live around here, Wawa is just one more thing you're missing out on.

I'm almost afraid to ask .... what's WaWa?

It's a convenience store. However, it's the best convenience store ever, with a touch screen hoagie ordering machine.

And the hoagies are really good, especially when you consider that it's a convenience store and not a hoagie shop, also they of course sell tastykakes.  Usually they have soft pretzels in there, but they were sold out tonight. So basically, you have the essential Philly foods, I think they may even sell cheese steaks, though admittedly not the greatest ones, any time of day.

Dang!  I think the best we have here in the way of convenience stores are the AM/PM mini marts attached to the Arco stations.  But they do have 2 hot dogs or hamburgers for $1.00

Ditto! I received some in a Happy Mail. Yum!

If we did a swap, what would the non-TastyKake land people send out? What would equal the wonderfulness of a TastyKake?

I would imagine a crisp $100 bill might work...

I can get TastyKakes here...so I'll be happy receiving the aforementioned moolah.
