How can u tell if a dog is too cold?

I know if a dog is hot it will pant, so what does it do if it is too cold?

My Dog will lay in the sun and in the same day lay on some cold tile.  With no real tempature change in my place

    Um, shiver?
Although if your dog is shivering, it's probably way too cold.
If your dog is in a place where you think it might get too cold, and has no way of seeking out warmth (which would otherwise be an obvious sign it was too cold), then you should probably change its living arrangements.
You ask some, uh... interesting questions. [:)]

One of my dogs, Casey, will chatter her teeth when she gets too cold.  But she's a weirdo, so I guess we shouldn't go off of that.
When my dogs get too cold, they'll shiver a bit.  They basically will tense up a little if they're getting a bit cold.  If indoors, they'll just curl up in a ball close to me, instead of sprawled out on the floor.

Mine shiver. Emma gets goosebumps. They'll try to find blankets to burrow under.

Mine will actually shake, as if they are drying out their fur (what little they have) and both of them are burrowers too.

My dog is an inside dog and the temp here is usally around 70 and i dont see her pant or shiver inside, unless she has been running around and stuff like that.  i seems strange that she lays in the Sun and then on some cold tile in the same day.

If my dog shake. It means that it feels too cold.

Shivering can be a sign of anxiety or pain, too, so don't rely on it as meaning that the dog is cold.  My general rule, since they can't tell me, is that if I'm cold, they are cold.  But, I also figure that they have a bit more natural protection.  However, my hound hates the cold and my Aussies love it.  The Yorkie doesn't mind it if she's in her sweater...

Sounds like natural temperature control... or just liking the feel.
Don't you ever feel like something cold and something warm within the same day?
Of course (and this is just my opinion), it could be achy joints or something, if she's old and constantly seeking out something very cool or warm, but it's very possible that your dog just likes warm sun and cold tile (I know I do!)
But then again, I'm just a civilian. I don't know all that much about dogs, so wait to see what the real dog people have to say on the matter. [;)]
