Because instead of waiting for his insurance to contact me (which they still haven't) and get repairs started, I put in a claim with my insurance. When I get the settlement from his insurance, I'll get reimbursed.

You should have your insurance contact his insurance as well.  Seems like they should get that money from them directly... but maybe not.

Sorry that they didn't total your car.  :( 

At first when I read "Tested Out the Airbags Yesterday" the first thing that came to mind was like "what kind of idiot does that..."

THEN I read the thread and was like AHHH clever... but not fun!! Glad to hear you are okay, car accidents are insane...

Make sure to contact your insurance agency & keep on the police about the report. File a claim & contact an attorney because if I was pregnant I would totally sue for medical bills b/c I'm stubborn like that... and being pregnant that would be easy to do!

As for the baby I think its a girl!! That's my guess... if its a boy then he is being very very shy about his "goodies"...

They did. I just gave them a call to follow up, and he's going to contact them again. He said they might give me the deductible $ up front, but they don't have to. He was going to make sure they have a copy of the police report.

He also said that he contacted the "at fault" driver for a statement. He said that at first the guy was answering questions, then he heard a lady (wife?) yelling in the background. The insurance guy could hear them (muffled, hand over the receiver) arguing back and forth for a bit, then the lady got on the phone and said that they weren't supposed to talk to him. He thought it was quite comical.

Pom - yeah, it wasn't on purpose! The other driver's insurance is going to be responsible for all of my medical bills. That part is kind of separate, and I'm not settling that part until after the baby is born.
