besides.. the UK has gun control so what do punks do? they use DOGS to mug people. so they ban "dangerous" dogs.... wow that sure fixed those criminal types eh? no. they moved on to legal breeds. so what next? ban knives? forks? spatulas? how bout addressing the ones abusing these implements eh? how come when a man rapes a woman they dont chop off his you know what? he used it as a weapon after all!!!

I agree with all of them, also, and I sure enjoy my rights as a law abiding citizen to be able to have a concealed handgun permit. I never leave home without my gun.

 In my humble opinion,the only people who should have guns are cops,armed forces etc These folk actually need guns as part of their jobs,what on earth does the average joe bloe want with a gun???

I certainly do not want to handle anything that could kill another person or animal,and i am not so paranoid to use the "personal protection" speel.

I can not think of one reason why a normal citizen should have a gun.I cant stand hunting either!

IMO serial rapists and pedophiles etc should have their "weapons" chopped off or at he very least have the chemical neutering thing so they cant use it anymore.

Edie i'm glad we live in THIS country otherwise neither one of use could voice our opinions nor would we have any say in the matter of guns or many other hot topics.

i wont sit here and give a speech about the handiness of guns, or why i want to own them...i see their value just like i see the value in my bulldogs and that's something i couldnt possibly make you understand.

but to simplify things.... i simply do not like other people thinking for me and telling me what to do and what dog i can or cannot own, or assuming that because i own a gun and a bulldog that i am some drug dealing thug(quite the oppose... i'm a mother, we live deep in the wilderness with all kinds of dangerous beasties AND there is a mental institution only a couple of miles from my home. you can bet your underpants i want a gun!!)

and i do however like the fact that i can look forward to a long quiet weekend in the woods, hunting with my dad.. the only thing we have in common.. 

and i do agree with you about pedophiles and rapists... make'm squat!! however that wont REALLY stop them... rape is all about domination. i say put'em to sleep and be done with it.

But i would like to understand   I dont understand what you mean about "the value of your bulldogs".

ah but that would be hijacking the thread and i dont want to do that so you'll have to either check out my other threads or visit my profile. i am quite proud of my big white behemoth and i dont think any other breed(besides maybe a Doberman) could even come close to matching an American Bulldog's intelligence, strength, stamina and loyalty..
