I am so sorry to hear about Sola. I hope you recover quickly and easily poor baby! Make Nigel be nice to you and milk it for all its worth.
I had this happen with one of my cats but at least my vet told me she could not find the other ovarian stem. She looked and had the other vet look - poor cat was under for an hour and half for what was suppose to be a routine spay and dental.
Since the cat has other weird issues I just chalked this up to one of them. The stem was found later during surgery for breast cancer since she had gone into one of her "false" heats when the lump was found. My vet didn't charge for the 2nd removal and gave me a break on the cost of the procedure. I am sorry things did not go as well with yours.
