Three!!! (update) (2nd update + pics) (3rd update: Thor at home)

Well... Thor is OK, but the surgery ended with a big question mark: two balls appeared... and one is a mistery. The doctors were lookig for the ball everywhere and nothing appeared. Nothing in the intestines, the stomach... nothing. My vets don't have x-rays on their clinic so... they had to suture wishing that the ball desintegrated and is traveling in little pieces. Tomorrow or friday (I hope tomorrow) we'll take him to another place to make the x-ray, but everything depends on Thor... if he looks strong enough or not.

You can imagine that I'm like dying with the doubt and I'm praying for a "balls-free" x-ray... Please, if you believe in something, pray with me.

And, if you're asking in your mind, why on Earth I take Thor to a clinic with no x-ray, the reason is that I trust and I like their vets. They are good people and good to the animals... Here in Venezuela is very difficult to find people like that. In the place were Thor had his first x-rays, I was like surrounded by their vets all of them willing to change my mind and leave Thor with them for the surgery... for the money.

I want people who wants to save my Thor not to make money on his behalf. So... I have to be patient. The good thing is that Thor was waving his tail when he saw me and tomorrow (I hope) he will be at home. Even my cats are waiting for him!!

    Thanks for be there!

I glad your big guy came through surgery OK and I'll pray there isn't a 3rd ball hiding somewhere.

Now Thor my big guy says - Don't eat balls just because they are small - it makes our momma's very nervous!

I'm big too and they call me Big Mouth because I like to carry around as much as I can in my mouth -  this is the best ball for me Air Kong Large Football

It may be called a Rugby Ball where you live Smile

Good luck and quick recovery Thor!

Wow, I hope the other ball is gone.  So many good vibes for Thor.  Give him some kisses from me.  I'm very quickly becoming a BIG Thor fan.

Prayers and vibes for a "ball free" x-ray!!!

I'm also sending prayers for a ball free x-ray today or tomorrow!

Now you can see the x-ray that scared me...

That's my Christmas present from Thor Confused

And now, my adorable baby... please note his toy under his paws. He loves that thing!!

He's walking and doing great. The x-ray thing was posponed, the vets check on him and they told me to remain calm and give him a little bit more of recovery to put him on the stress of another table and stay still, etc... I want to relax a little bit, tomorrow he'll be at home and next week I'll take him to do the x-ray. For now I'm preparing chicken broth for my little angel.

Thank you so much guys... for been there for us!

Aw poor Thor! Looks like he needs a bigger ball to play with! I hope they got them all and I hope he gets better soon!

Sort of off topic, but I noticed you are from Venezuela! I have family there! I last visited in 2003 and we went sightseeing and saw Pico Bolivar, Angel Falls, The Amazon Rainforest and alot of other things I can't remember right now LOL. And the food is WONDERFUL! I can't wait to go back! (I live in California.)

What a HANDSOME baby!  He looks so content.  I just HAVE to squish his face & cover it with kisses.  I'm sooooooo glad he seems to be on the mend.  Give him some rubs & kisses from me.

Will surely be praying and lifting you and Thor up -- and that the third on did simply disintigrate ...

Hope everything turns out alright for Thor--he sure is a cutie.    Our daughter's fist dal had an episode of bloat, we thought. It turned out she was full of rubber pieces and all kinds of pieces of cloth. She came thru it fine, even for an older dog.    Good luck!

Thor is here!!! I'm very happy and he's in heaven. When I enter in the garage I heard a sigh coming from the back seat. He was so thrilled walking on "his" grass he even tried to jump like a puppy. Of course, I'm trying to not let him get excited. But I feel great looking at my happy doggie.

The cats gave him a very warm welcome with kisses and meows. My Zarina was particularly interested on the stitches, but Thor lay down before she even smelled. I think that I'll sleep in the living room tonight... or maybe I'll put the cats on their kennels for the night...

For now I'm feeding Thor with a little bit of baby food, water and chicken soup. But just a little bit every hour + his medicines. Tomorrow we're going to the x-ray thing.

Look my baby sleeping in his new Snoopy sheet! Smile
