    Mindless chatter - Monday

*yawn* Despite my best efforts, I got no sleep last night. I don't know why but I tossed and turned all night long. I am soooooo tired I can barely stand up. Today is going to be tough.

I'll post more later after I wake up

Sorry about your lack of sleep, I hate when that happens. I am so glad we did not get the ice storm to badly. My neighborhood is a skating rink, but the main roads were fine. The highway was much better this week than it was last Monday. Of course last Monday they said it "won't" freeze (famous last words) so the salt trucks were not out. Yesterday I am sure they were out in force prepping the roads. I don't know that to be true as I stayed home. I did walk Max and Belle early, we came home with ice on us. Today is Teddi's adoptiversery!!!! WOO HOO she came home with me one year ago! I don't regret one day. I just feel bad she had to go through her operation. I don't wish this on any one dog.

I'm taking back my hours on Monday today! Yay! Yes, I actually want my hours back, because it means more money, but more so, because I am now really underpaid for these hours but nothing can be done about that, I love working with this kid and his family. Also today, my friend and I are supposed to go for our end of semester lunch, and we're going to the new Cheesecake Factory that opened near us. I'm not sure if we're eating lunch there though, because I have to be at the kid's house at 4, and she is supposed to be at a training for her new job, which will involve working with this kid, until 2. So, I think we are meeting at 2:30. We may eat in the food court the actual lunch, and go just for the actual cheesecake.

Today's other missions include more studying for my interview tomorrow, maybe finishing my assignment, calling the college about my room in January, and calling the kennel to book Max for when I have to go to my class. I also need to get my train ticket so that I can actually get to the class.

It's been a long day so far!  I was up and down all night long.  Between the dogs trying to push me out of the bed and my mind playing tricks on me, I got very little sleep.  For some reason, I could have swore that I heard Madison in my room last night.  Impossible, but she was "there"  I guess it's those maternal instincts!  Now, I am getting ready to go sit in a tattoo chair for a few hours so I can get it finished!  When I get home, I am going through Madison's toy box and getting rid of all of those toys that she doesn't play with.  Making room for the toys that she will be getting for Christmas!  I told everyone that they could get her toys but only ones that don't make noise!!!  It's amazing how one little toy can drive a person to drinking!

We went to a tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree yesterday. When we first got there, I was holding Rupert's leash. After we got in a bit, I dropped his leash and let him prance around. I trust him off-leash. A few people here and there petted him, and he loved it. After all, everyone was there to see him, ya know.

On our way back, we were walking down one of the main paths. Rupert was still loose, and just a bit ahead of us. A lady and her little girl (3 years-ish? Hard to tell under all the clothes.) were coming towards us from the opposite direction. The lady was bent down a bit, waving and practically calling Rupert! Like I said, I trust Rupert, even with kids, but I was so surprised! Now this is the best part - Rupert saw them, stopped, turned back and looked at us, as if to say, Can I go? I told him OK! and he went up and got some lovin. I was so proud of him!

Finally finished painting the bathroom.   It's green.  Personally, I would have liked to paint it another color, but its for the kids and supposed to be a frog theme.

    Ribbit.

I lost and found the packet of information I need to study for tomorrow. I panicked while I couldn't find it, but I really think I do actually know the stuff. It's just the not having the info that had me all panicked. My interview is now moved up for tomorrow from 6 to 5. I am debating taking the train versus driving. Both options are crappy, as I will be coming back during rush hour. I think they now both cost about the same, but I just prefer driving to trains, especially when the trains are going to be crowded.

I got next to nothing actually done today though, unless you count the minor progress towards getting my assignment done by bringing the book in to the house.

I met my friend for lunch at Cheesecake Factory, which was crappy. I also got horribly lost on my way back from Cheesecake Factory and was late for work.

I had the most awesome workout today!  I signed up for personal training at my gym about two months ago, but my old trainer left, so today was my first day with my new one.  She's super-challenging, but made me feel good the whole way through the workout!  I was sweating my butt off, but it felt soooo good afterwards.  My next appt. is Thursday, and I can't wait.

It was a great stress-reliever after work today.  I definitely know that the holiday season's in full swing, when a MONDAY in retail feels like the Saturdays of yore.  But at least it keeps me busy!
