What do you think Jack is? Need help.

I got Jack last week. He's 8 weeks old. The adoption agency I got him from was unsure of his breed, all they knew was the mother is a Manchester Terrier mix and the dad was a Lab mix? Can any of you tell by the pics what kind of breed he looks like or have any idea how big he may get? Thanks.

Manchester terrier and lab ... wow.  that'd be unpleasant for her!

I'm not sure, he certainly is adorable!  If I hadn't read what you'd said I'd say a husky mix.  how big is he right now? He's 8 weeks and how big is he?

They really don't know what or who the father is. He's only 8 lbs. at 8 weeks.

Definitely looks like some kind of husky too.  He's adorable.  I love the markings on his face, so unique.  Congrats on your new little one?

He should end up medium sized, at that weight, is my guess. Maybe about 40lbs'ish?  I don't understand the manchester terrier thing, though... that's a toy breed, full grown should not exceed 12lbs.  Anyway.  I'd still guess a husky mix.  Something about him just looks it! :)

Very cute puppy, congratulations on your new family member!

he kinda looks like a blue heeler

Rescues can get really creative sometimes -- husky = big and if they wanted to make the pups more marketable they would hope 'manchester terrier' because it's black/white/tan and smaller??  If it was a terrier and a lab mix with mom being the small one, it's a wonder she lived thru the delivery!!

    I'm seeing husky too.

It's theoretically possible that the husky look is coming from a klee kai, if the mother was a manchester terrier/klee kai mix.  (Both small breeds.)

reminds me of a heeler mix  as well

manchester terriers aren't very common, it seems odd that there would be a mix of one

Ditto with klee kai- neither are common enough that you see many mixes of them at ALL. If mom was say, an oversized min pin or minpin mix, it'd be a LOT more likely- or heck, even a small Dobe mix.

I wouldn't bet heeler- his color is filled in an awful lot already for that- but husky x shepherd x BC or Aussie wouldn't surprise me much at all

8 pounds already? He'll be medium sized- I'd bet in the 50 pound range, which is just about right for a husky X.

I agree on the Husky, maybe with Aussie or Aussie mix. I would suspect the rescue made up the manchester terrier part.

He should end up medium sized, at that weight, is my guess. Maybe about 40lbs'ish? ...

Maybe a little bigger- Caleb was 10 pounds at 8 weeks.  At 16 months he weighed in at 62.6 pounds.

...I don't understand the manchester terrier thing, though... that's a toy breed, full grown should not exceed 12lbs.

There is a standard variety of Manchester Terrier, too.  According to the AKC website, standards should weigh between 12 and 22 pounds.  Keep in mind that's for a show quality dog.

I agree with the others, what ever he's mixed with, he's cute.
