Hello forum family!

Please take note of our newest section - Doggy Classifieds. Located under the Photos For Sharing Catagory, it contains catagories for dogs for sale, stud services, vets, boarding, training, want ads and other services, in addition to the previously created Dog-Cycle section.

The rules are pretty simple - pick the catagory, create a post (title it for whatever you're selling - e.g. Fido - AKC Lab Stud), include a description, photos (if you want) and contact information.

Out of respect for our forum owners, under "other services" please do not list competitor retail websites.

Have fun selling and shopping - if anyone has questions, let me know.

wow, not too crazy about the selling dogs or stud services. one of the reasons i really like this forum is because everyone seems to be of the same mind with certain issues.

Wow, did the rules change? That puts a whole new perspective on this forum. I do think there are more rescuers here, than breeders. Would you not be encouraging BYB's by doing this?

I forsee alot of spam in that section! While i dont mind a section for people wanting to sell dog clothes or used crates i dont like to see a bunch of people selling poorly bred dogs.A section for breeders wanting to advertise a website would be a better alternative.

I have PM'ed you but also want others here to know. I have asked to have my moderator status removed. I do not wish to be so heavily associated with a forum that sells dogs, or "stud services". I am unsure if I will be staying at all...this is simply...ghastly as developments go. Now we are all hypocrites whenever we speak to someone about NOT breeding their pet...because they sure can...and they can advertise the puppies right here too! [:'(] [:@]

I have to admit,,, I am really disappointed as well. I really hate to give up the site, I have truly enjoyed myself for years (even back when it was ACME pet). Not sure I can hang around here any more. I will really miss the community of friends that I have found.

I'm actually pretty flabbergasted. Why the sudden change, after walking a hard line *against* advertising dogs for sale or breeding for as long as I've been here, and now it's OK? I'm pretty disappointed and dismayed at this change. Just... wow.

Throw my hat in the disgusted ring. Will give them a chance to change their minds about stud service and sellings dogs. Else, I'm outta here.

I can't support any site that allows a means for BYBs to sell their dog, so I suppose it's time for me to start looking for new forums. Anyone who knows of a good one, feel free to PM or e-mail me.
