He thinks he 's sooooo smart.....

Our new little girl, ChiChi, the poodle x chihuahua, is doing wonderfully. At first my husband said no to another dog. Then he gave in and said we could get another dog, but no to ChiChi because she was a mixed breed, adult and he wanted to get a purebred puppy. Eventually he agreed, he said to get me to shut up about it. He's kind of been distancing himself from ChiChi.. kind of his way of saying he doesn't like her and thinks we should have held out for a purebred puppy...and fussing about her sleeping with us and that sort of thing.... but I know him. I know better. I've heard the baby talk when he thinks no one is listening....And then I caught him, yesterday evening, slipping her tidbits of food under the table during dinner. And then this morning, before he got up to get ready for work, he put his arm over me, he said he was cold... but ChiChi was laying in front of me. He thought he was being slick. He didn't put his arm over me and cuddle up to get warm... he put his arm over me so he could pet ChiChi! She's won him over! She's managed to turn the big, construction working, truck driving, cowboy into a softie who baby talks to the tiny little, wierd looking, bug eyed dog with the pink collar!!!  (But don't worry, honey... your secret is safe with me Wink Zip it!

Haha, good job!!! My step-mother was the same way with "my dad's cats." Took her almost 2 years before she'd finally admit she actually liked them, despite the fact that she fussed over them and slept with them when she thought nobody would notice. Stick out tongue
