Mindless Chatter - Monday

    Mindless Chatter - Monday

This is a 4 day week for me. wohoo! Hopefully it flies by. Probably not though because my work is a bit slow atm, but you never know.

Yesterday was great. I got soooo much cleaning done. I still need to chuck the carpet in my basement but that's a 2-person job because it's so heavy.

I also took the dogs for a walk last night in the rain and fog. I'm so glad that I bought those collar blinky lights. It's nice to know that you're being seen when the weather is like that.

Dakota still isn't eating great. Maybe a half of a can of wet food at each feeding plus her kong filled with NB during the day. For her weight she should be eating 3 days per day. I bought some of that food topper stuff that you sprinkle on their food. She seems to like that to an extent. She wants nothing to do with dry food anymore though. Maybe her mouth hurts? The vet said something about a cyst in her mouth (I guess dogs with kidney probs get that).

Anyway, I guess I better get a move on. We got more snow last night on top of the ice. The roads will probably be a bit slick this morning. Good thing I only have a 4 mile drive! (love my job!)

Aww, I hope Dakota feels better!

I am in a conumdrum.  (right word? I don't know)  I am supposed to read out my victim impact statement tomorrow to the review board.  And I think I have decided that I don't want to.  I don't want to read it out.  I don't want to go.  But I will fax mine in, but I don't want to read it out.  I really really don't.  I think I have it finished, but I can't even begin to think about reading it out.  It is just too personal.  I can't do it

Are you sure that you can't do it? Maybe it'll lift some weight off your shoulders to read it out loud?

P.S. A friend dropped some xmas cookies off to me last night. I meant to bring them in to work so I left them on the stove top. Of course, I forgot them. I fully expect to go home at lunch and find cookie crumbs all over the house and an empty box of cookies.

What a busy weekend for me. I never got on the board. Got my upstairs of my house CLEAN!!!!! yeah We got the outside Christmas decor up and some of the inside decorations. We also got the leaves up (again) I think this week is the last pick up for the year. Because of the warm weather we had they didn't fall as fast. Today the drive in to work was AWFUL. It was sheer ice from Beck road (Plymouth Twp) to Ann Arbor. Multiple spin outs and roll overs. I think I saw well over a dozen accidents. I went 40 or less all the way in, and my car shifted side to side a couple times. If the roads are not dry by the time I go home we may not come back for agility tonight. Jewliee I am so sorry to hear Dakota is still in a punk. Are you taking her back to the vet? Poor Baby. When Max had her last knee surgery she went off her food. My vet gave me something, it was prescription food, small can, white label (not sure who) but it was an appetite stimulant. It worked for her, you might ask your vet if they have that. Our seniors need their nutrition.

Poor Dakota :( Pirate wasn't eating well a while back and it was EXACTLY because he had a cyst in his mouth. It was on the roof of his mouth, in the back by his big molar teeth. It was super gross and busted open and got blood all over the couch. Eeeew.

Last day of classes!! Christmas break here we cooome!

damnit if the boyfriend didn't leave the bedroom door open and the dog went into the living room and pissed on the corner of the new couch.

There is no reason for the dog to be intact - he's not breeding him - it's simply the male "attachment" to his dogs anatomy.  *sigh*..... we were worried about the dogs getting along, not this issue!  The dogs have been fantastic together.  Just took this pic of them chilling out together - new loveseat in the background

     Great pic, and nice sofa!

I'm sitting here in my office listening to a guy downstairs tear out my floor. (I'm getting tile installed tomorrow.) I hate this! It's loud and I'm socially awkward and I can't go into my kitchen.

In better news, I went to a really cool dog store/boutique/thing yesterday. They sell the fancypants dog foods and have some awesome dog supplies for good prices. I got Rascal a new halter so I don't have to squish down his oh-so-precious ears when I put his halter on (he HATES when it goes over his head - this one doesn't). It was only $9, too. Plus we walked allll around the shopping center practicing our "city manners" and Rascal was great. He even let the sales clerk put the halter on him! Good boy, Rascal! (He got a cookie from her for that.)

Nice couches! I'll bet they came with fabric protection so hopefully no longterm damage, but yeah, I'd be mad too.  Did I miss something? You're in Arizona now???

Yeah... I was kinda quiet about it, but I moved to Arizona the week before Thanksgiving - drove across country, just me an Gracie in my car.  (ok, cuz I feel like sharing MORE pics of her... here she is from the drive.

The one outside the car was taken about 2 hours outside of El Paso - nothing else on the trip was worth taking pics in front of! lol!!)  I just ADORE this pic of her!!!!

Oh AZ - dreaming of warm weather and sunshine.......that's worlds away from 19 degrees, 50 mph and ice!

    P.S. great pics!

So Paige - how are you liking the change of climate?  Are you up around Flagstaff where it will snow and get colder in the winter, or are you in for "year round HOT?" I have a good friend who lives in Mesa. Smile
