Weirdest thing your dog has eaten?

Oh, I how can I forget, Lily ate two pairs of sunglasses, which is like my fav accessory-and they were not cheap-$200.00.  I now know not to buy expensive glasses anymore.  Also, she used to eat magazines-which btw I have an addiction to.  Also, can Toby be any cuter?

Kayla (at the bridge) ate a pair of stockings which we had to pull the entire thing out the other end, a whole stuffed animal which she threw up later, panites.

Lucy caught and ate a bird.

Bailey eats a lot of dirt.  It gets packed into her little nostrils and I have to get a q-tip to get it out so she can breathe.

My Cookie almost ate my glasses, chewed them right up. I was going to drive myself to the optometrist to get a new pair but realized that I couldn't see. lol. The next day she completely chewed my watch up to bits. Everything but the face. Cat poop ws a favorite of hers as well. And last and grossest, the leg of a pigeon. I cought her in time to find the birds foot hanging out of her mouth. It was really disgusting but funny all at the same time.

[sm=lol.gif] This is a great thread.

The weirdest thing Rupert ate was... well, I don't know what it was!
But, he threw it up within minutes of eating it. Here's the story. It's nasty and NOT FOR THE FEINT OF HEART. This was last summer. I brought him outside as usual on my lunch break. He goes down into the woods to do his business. I noticed him sniffing around a little extra, and then chomp chomp. "LEAVE IT! DROP! COME!" He did come running, proudly, but after the GULP.

We went inside, and that's when the heaving started. Luckily, I was able to get him on the linoleum. One big *thing* came up. Uch. It was brown, solid, slimy, I guess about the size of two golf balls. I tried not to look too close. [:'(] I made Rupert sit/stay on the carpet, because he still seemed interested in it. I reached for a roll of paper towel, and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw it move! No, It couldn't be! I squatted down, not too close, and watched it with one eye (that's all I could manage). The thing was pulsating! OMG! [:o] I couldn't believe my eyes! (yes, I had opened the other one by now.) I quickly grabbed two plastic bags. The thing opened up and all these beatle bugs crawled out. [:-] Eww gross yucky yuck blech ah ew eh!! [:-] I bolted to the linen closet and grabbed a bottle of bathroom cleaner with bleach, and started spraying the thing. I pulled about 20 paper towels off the roll, and picked it up, put it in the double-bag, tied it tight, and brought it outside to the garbage. YUK! I throughoughly cleaned the floor, and demanded to know from Rupert, "WHAT WAS THAT?" His eyes were just as big as mine.

...that would totally have freaked me out...

    Ewwww Rupert!!!

Let's see... what could it be?? Boss has eaten Ritalin, big chunks of leather from shoes he has chewed up, then vomited it up the next day. Tin foil made for some shiny poop in the yard. Cat poop of course. He devoured most of a rope toy once and the next poop was nothing but colorful string with a little poop mixed in. I have also discovered him chewing thread spools lately (can't figure out where he's finding them). He chews them until he gets the thread loose and then starts to swallow it until he has a long strand and I have to pull it out while he gags (I'm sure it tickles).

Of course the other night puncturing a hole in a lighter with his teeth

So far Gracie has only done the cat poop and paper.

Pepe doesn't seem to eat anything weird, Pugsly on the other hand will pick up anything on the ground and eat it including bugs, dirt, paper, and things i don't know what they were.  Also every stuffy he owns has its eyes and nose missing.  Thankfully i find them before he swallows them.   Now we get him stuffies with cloth eyes.  Athena has eaten a leg to a stuffed bunny which she some how got in her crate.  It came out the next morning but was stuck and was so worried i would have to pull it out, thankfully i got lucky and it came out on its own.

Oh and forpaws your dog Beau looks just like my moms dog Fiona.

Blue has only ate cat poop and chewed up my beloved wolf blanket that I got for christmas two years ago. [:(] My mom doesn't know about the wolf blanket it's still hiding in my closet.

You mean Puggylover, Beau has a twin apple barrel with toothpicks for legs out there? That is cool. You should post some picks of her. That would be awesome.

Boss, you silly boy.  I wonder why he likes thread. And I had a visual of you pulling the thread and him gagging. Sorry, had to laugh.......

She isn't as big but is still about 100 lbs and her ears are a little longer but other than that they look alike.  I'll have to get my mom to get me some pics of Fiona to show you.

Well, nothing too weird about this but it happened just the other day.  I let the dogs out into the yard and then sat down in the sunroom to eat my freshly microwaved glazed honey-bun type danish.  I saw that Bailey was messing with something in the yard so I went out to investigate.  It turned out that it was a bird carcass he was trying to eat.  I made him drop it and then went into the shed to get a plastic bag to pick it up.  I walked back into the sunroom, all happy with myself for getting to the bird before Bailey ate it....and the first thing I see is an empty plate sitting on the coffee table.  The second thing I see is Skyler smacking his lips and looking like he'd hit to lottery.  I had left the door ajar and Skyler had snuck back into the house.  So while I was stopping one dog from eating a "species appropriate meal", the other was was helping himself to a decidedly species non-appropriate meal.  That danish was huge, actually too big for me to eat, let alone a 20 lb Schnauzer.  And then I had to deal with a crazy dog on a sugar high all day.

My Dad was a saltwater fishing boat captain and would always bring home Cyalume Sticks (glow sticks) for me to ;play with when I was a kid. This was a long time ago (20+ years) and they only came in green and were pretty big, like the size of a taper candle. Well one night I was playing around with one and my dog Shapiro grabbed it and chewed it and ACK! he suddenly had a green glowing mouth and paws.. then he ran on the couch and made green glowy smears all over it and the floor. Me being the kid I was thought this was way cool and picked up the broken stick and smeared some on me too, we had so much fun.. Luckily it was all nontoxic. It was an illuminating experience.

Do remote controls count? Gracie has eaten 2 so far. How about fresh ground pepper? As soon as someone grabs the grinder, Gracie is sitting in front of them begging for some.

Hi Y'all...Newbie here. My s/o is trying to get my 5 month old Shih Tzu to eat ants when they come in the house. I'm hoping that doing that wont be harmful.[:'(] Of course, being a devout worrier, I'm afraid if he gets used to scarfing down ants, he might try for a bee or wasp...and that wouldn't be good.

Tasha likes to eat washcloths.  She either pukes up large pieces or we find them in the dog pen later.  She has also eaten ear plugs (BF snores) and I have found those in the dog pen as well.  She also eats the string from rope toys.

Shadow and Kota have apparently developed a taste for Chocolate.  They got onto the kitchen table last Sunday and raided my sister's Easter basket.  grrr....
