Thanks!
They were all taken around my yard/house in Grand Rapids/Kentwood, Michigan. We had a few inches of snow, and then last night the ice started coming down around 8pm. It sleeted during the night, but then the temperature got warmer, so this morning (when I took the pics) everything was covered in a layer of wet ice and it was foggy. It got foggier during the day and by this afternoon, I couldn't see the back of my yard.
The funny thing is, DH and I had planned a massive grocery run for last night and decided to still go even with the "treacherous driving" forecast. It paid off because Target was basically empty!! That's unheard of for a Saturday during the holiday season. I spent $227 in groceries and supplies *faints*, but we're hosting a dinner party for my work, I am always commissioned to make Chex Mix and Puppy Chow (I bought 14 boxes of Chex cereal, lol), needed a baby gate for the dogs, three bags of expensive shrimp, yadda yadda. We've vowed to always go shopping during winter storms!
I'm sure in PA you also get some Lake Effect. They've predicted really bad Lake Effect for west Michigan this season because the water was very warm all summer and will fuel any systems crossing Lake Michigan.
