Rope Burn

I've got the reflexes but sometimes the whole body movement doesn't match up with the finger movement and I end dropping what I was trying to catch.

 All that even for a very minor rope burn? There's no pain it just itches a lot.. I didn't put ice or anything cold on it. Just hand lotion to help with the drying.

I'd probably use just plain aloe -- if you can get a leaf from an aloe plant, take a paring knife and trim off the edges with the little thorns.  But then just cut it in half from top to bottom flat-wise and lay it on a piece of saran wrap.

 Take the side of a spoon and just scrape the goo off.  Throw away the skin.  Squeeze the goo from the saran into a little air-tight container and store in the fridge.  Slather it on -- it will take away the burn and heal it.  ANY burn -- even a 2d degree burn.

True! Lol. But at least we have entertaining stories! 

Eeeww!  I had a girlfriend who was holding onto the tube rope (we were tubing on the boat) and my husband put the boat in gear before we had the tube settled down into place and it blew off the back of the boat.  No big deal, it was attached to the rope, but my girlfriend had the rope in her hand and she got one of the nastiest rope burns I had ever seen.  I jumped all over my husband, since he's the "captain", you should make sure things are secure before givin' gas.  She put some neosporin on it and I think she kept it uncovered.  Good Luck, I know that must hurt like a b*****.
