Aggressive chewer?  First, reedirect the chewing to something like a Kong.

Second try putting Tabasco sauce, Bitter Apple spray, or cayenne pepper on the leash to make it not-so-attractive.

By the time I was on my 3rd. leather leash, I finally realized that I had to put the leash inside a drawer as soon as I took it off. And I can tell you, Max gets veerrry excited when he hears that drawer open!

i wouldnt really call her an agressive chewer.  she doesnt go around chewing on stuff.  its just that if im out taking her for a walk and i happen to stop to talk with someone, i guess she gets bored?  and starts chewing on her leash just cause its there, hanging from her neck?  ill try the bitter apple spray, maybe that will work.

bitter apple worked with Taluswhen he was a puppy, but we really!!!!! had to soak his collar.
we have one with a handle at his neck now, and he doesn't chew that one.

I had a similar problem when I first adopted Bernie. He could chew through a nylon flat lead in about 3 seconds, and he would do it so quietly. I bought him a chain lead from the petstore. It has a nylon handle for my comfort, but the rest is chain link, similar to that of a choke chain collar.

It worked great so that I could walk him with out worrying about him escaping until I trained him not to chew. I think the metal also discouraged chewing as he got no satisfaction from it.

After some training he has completely stopped all leash chewing behavior. I now walk him easily on a braided nylon martingale collar.

Vicks will work just as well....maybe better....than Bitter apple and is probably cheaper.

Since this is a new dog to you I'd work on teaching her not to chew on her leash rather than find a leash she can't chew through.  Maybe for the time being when you stop to talk to someone you can correct her when she starts chewing on the leash and then reward her when she's not.  Pretty soon you'll end up (hopefully) with a dog that will sit and watch you while you're talking to someone.

when she does it im looking at the person im talking to so i dont always see it.  i dont want to be out in a park or somewhere and all of a sudden no leash cause she shewed through it.

When you come to a stop to talk to someone, don't keep th eleash loose.  Put it up behind you dog's head where s/her can't reach it.  Keep an eye on the leash and out of his/her mouth and viola, no more leash problems!
