Poll: Do you SNOOP for your Christmas gifts?

BTW snooping includes checking credit card accn'ts, bills, emails, peeking at/shaking/"accidentally opening" packages or badgering your gifter w/extremely wheedling questions about your gifts to the point you pretty much know. Along with the more obvious looking in every nook and cranny...LOL!

Wow!  look at those numbers!  We got peekers and people who get what they want!  I wish I could vote twice, 'cause I actually fell under two categories.  I love these polls.

 I do a little bit...but DH is pretty good about covering up his tracks!

haha, oh yes. Me and my brother used to unwrap our gifts when we were younger, then rewrap them oh-so-carefully. That was when we were much younger, of couse. =]

I was always too worried my Mom would catch on, she's a sharp woman...I just shook and squished LOL. Now my DH is a lot less observant so I have a ball snooping lol.

 I HATE knowing what I'm getting.  My sister has a habit of telling me what she's getting me.  It drives me nuts.  She's done it since I was a kid.  She'll go shopping with me and if i see something I like she'll say,"Oh I guess I'll get that for you for Christmas,..."   Grrrr... well I don't want it now...

Last year, I looked all over the place for my gifts from DH.  I even checked in the attic part of the barn!  I never did find them!  I am pathetic! 

 We wrap ours ASAP and then stick 'em under the tree.  Or next to the TV in the case of my BF's first gift this year.

When younger, my brother and younger sister would snoop, then TELL ME!!!  I didn't snoop because I didn't want to know!  sheesh...   don't wanna know, don't wanna know!
 

DH and I don't do presents for b-days or Christmas, we go out to eat and see a movie and maybe get a gift for us both (for example, for my birthday/wedding anniversary we got a new mattress pad and sheets).  So, *if* there is any kind of present, I'd know what it is without having to snoop. 

I used to snoop, but recently, I've learned to enjoy just being surprised.

Back when Chris and I first got together I never had any idea what I was getting and it was always a suprise...that changed over the years and as we combined our incomes and finances and once we got married and bought a house etc.  Now I just make sure I get what I want.  He usually knows what I want but goes and picks it out for me.  I always know what he wants and try to make it a suprise but he is a snooper.  Last year I got him a huge television he was wanting....he had no idea until he saw the mailman one day he was off work (and it wasn't his regular day off either) and he went and actually got the mail...mind you he NEVER does this.  Well apparently the credit card came in that I put it on at 0%.  He looked, put the statment back in the envelope ever so carefully and put all the mail back in the box.  I thought I had him but when I looked at the statement the next day I realized that our address wasn't showing through the window b/c he put it back in backwards.  Men!  They wonder why we always catch them but they just don't pay attention to details.

This year we actually got our main gifts tonight.  Neither of us want to overshadow my step daughter's xmas with our ONE really nice present to her 20 ok with a really nice one thrown in present (we actually spent the same on her  as we  did on both of us in total) so we decided to go ahead and have them now and let her be the center of present getting on Christmas this year.  She seemed a little let down last year after Chris got the TV so this is her year and we will make sure of it. 

Hmm...I don't buy it folks...I think some of the non snooper's are stretching the truth LOL...

Nah, I'm not a snooper. I snooped once as a little kid and got really excited that I was getting a camera... until Christmas came around and I found out that it wasn't for me, it was for my cousin who came over for an hour or so. BIG bummer. Haven't snooped since!
