Question about Photo Bucket

 Copy and paste the bottom URL of your pic into your message.

When you are in your album at the Photobucket site....click on the pic you want to put into the post here....to the left you will see several choices/URL's...pick the one labeled "DIRECT LINK" and copy/paste it.

Then....in the body of your message HERE..click the tree icon and put the URL you've c/p'ed into the box where it says IMAGE URL....you needn't fill in anything else. Click INSERT and the pic will display.

The pic can be moved around in a post using the enter/space bar etc. I always have my cursor set EXACTLY where I want the pic to be before I click the tree icon.

I'm no expert with this but I think that Photobucket has several choices for selecting your picture, i.e., email, forums, blogs. Choose the one for the forum and it might work or at least it always has for me.

Ok, I went and changed the size, let's see how it works.

VERY pixelated. How big is the photo? Is it an enlargement?

Try again!  Well, you can see more of the pic, but it's still HUGE!  I changed it in Photobucket to the Avatar size.  Hmmm!  Maybe the thumbnail?  I'm afraid to keep trying.  This post is gonna be all these HUGE pics of Misty!  LOL  Sorry, I'm so computer illiterate!

okay it looks like you are puting the URL to a THUMBNAIL or thumbnail sized version of your pic. Are you clicking on the pic itself in your gallery...not just grabbing the direct link from the front page where all the pics are displayed as thumb's?

This is the actual size of your pic in your photobucket gallery. If the version you uploaded from your puter is this small...enlarging it isn't  agood idea because it will be very pixelated.

 I did it!  I did it!  I went and compressed the photo on my computer and redownloaded it on the photobucket and it worked!  Yippee!  Now it's not HUGE but you can still see it without having to pull out the 'ole reading glasses!  Thank you both for your help!  Especially you Gina, wouldn't have been able to do it without you!  Yeah!!  I can't wait to tell my husband, he's going to be so impressed!!!  I know I am!!!!

Another trick I discovered a couple of weeks ago - when you're adding the picture to your post (clicking the little picture of a tree icon), there's a place that says "dimensions." You can resize your photo there, too - if you want to keep it balanced (as in, not stretchy or weird-looking) you can just adjust the numbers in the first blank and leave the second one empty and the program will automatically balance it for you. (E.g. [800] x [     ]) 

Really?  I think I did that, and it was slightly smaller, but I did make it work.  I had to compress my photo on my computer, then I downloaded it onto the photobucket and used it in this thread.  I'm learning...slowly, but learning.  lol
