Weird, I know, but have you gone to work without showering?

I work very long hours.  When I get up in the morning I wash dishes, (to tired to do it in the evening as I get home late), pack lunches for DH and I, and then, the best part, I walk my dog.  It is a breath of fresh air to do so.  The longer I walk, the less time I have to get ready for work.  I have gone to work without a shower just to save time.  If we do not leave before 7 a.m. traffic is too bad.  My priority is that I want some exercise and my dog needs it as well.  Anyone else compromise in this way?

Yes.  Sometimes I shower at night right before bed and if I don't get sweaty, I don't really need a shower.  I don't like getting my hair all wet and then getting it wet again 8 hours later (I don't blow dry).  Other times, i just plain over sleep and have the 8am phone shift so I have no choice!  My mom only showers before bed, never in the morning, but she always looks nice and doesn't really exercise.

all the time...but i work with dogs -- training, cleaning kennels, bathing, and before that i worked at a stable, so i wasn't going to take a shower only to go get filthy. i always get in the shower pretty soon after getting home from work.

Nope--I perspire heavily and I work in a library without open doors.  Can you say, "smelly"? ROFLLLL

I only shower at night - I work at a shelter (not kennels, but behavior department) so it makes more sense for me to shower after work, plus I don't tend to get too sweaty when walking the dogs, except in the summer.

I don't. As soon as I get there I get covered in fur, drool, or mud. Usually a nice combo.

I usually shower at night, so yes. Though sometimes I do skip a day of showering, especially in the winter when I don't do much sweating and I get really dry skin so sometimes a shower seems like it would do me more harm than good.  I've never been super-delux into being clean though. I'm not a girly girl. I only wash my hair about once every 5 days, I don't style it or anything, I don't wear make-up. I'm kind of a hippie and when camping (or when I used to tour with Phish which is pretty much a dead giveaway for anyone who knows what the heck I'm talking about) not being able to really bathe or shower for a week or two at a time was never that big a deal for me. That's what baby wipes are for.

I'm a night-time shower person -- partially because I get up at 5:30 already and don't want to get up any earlier.  Also because in the summer I don't have much choice -- When I get home from the barn I am NASTY gross.  In the winter I don't get nearly as dirty or sweaty, but I still like being clean when I go to bed.

I have a friend who showers at night and then again in the morning -- says she can't wake up without it.  I think it's a bit overkill.

I do it every once in a while, but don't wash my hair both times.  One time I will put it up in a bun.  It takes a lot less time.  Usually I do this at night if I'm cold before going to bed and want a hot shower, but not wet hair in bed.

When I did gymnastics, I often had 2-3 showers a day.  I HAD to have one after gym because the gym is so dry, you come home covered in body lotion, but also chalk.  Your hands and feet smell like stinky feet, and of course you are sweaty and gross.  If it was a meet day, I'd take a shower before as well, so I could look my best and get my hair up tight.

I am a morning showering person - no particular reasoning behind it. I've just always done it that way.

I have gone in to work a few times without showering when I've woken up late, but I felt gross and paranoid that I stunk all day Tongue Tied, so I've only let it happen a few times.

Yeah, it's happened.  What are you gonna do?  That's what they invented body spray for!  LOL  I wish I could shower in the morning.  I have a few times and it does help wake you up, but since I don't blow dry my hair it means I would have to get up really early just to give it time to dry (my hair is thick).  I hate leaving the house w/ it wet, especially if I'm not throwing it in a pony tail.  So, I'll shower at night.  Just think, if you smell, more people at work will leave you alone!  Stick out tongue

I always shower at night. When the contractors renovated my hosue they didn't put heat or air vents in any of the bathrooms so it is too cold to shower in the mornings now anyway. Plus My hair is really thick as well and it takes me a long time to blowdry. I prefer just to let it air dry and then run the flat iron through in the morning. Much easier.

I shower at night... of course, I don't GO to work, my cousin's 4 1/2 year old comes to my house..but I guess because she's not my kid, I feel really weird and guilty showering with her here. But I just can't get up early enough to shower in the morning. I'm another really non-girly non-styling kind of girl. My hair is just down and brushed when it's clean and in a pony tail when it's not so clean. It gets dirty really fast though, so basically "not-so-clean" means it's been 20 hours since I washed it. lol. If I don't shower for 2, or god forbid, 3 days, it looks like it's been weeks. Gross. But my skin gets dry when I consistently shower daily, and I'm just too lazy for lotion. Oh, dilemma...

I shower at night. I have never seen the wisdom of dunking oneself in water first thing in the morning. Showers relax me and help me sleep better which is the BEST way to be awake for the morning, for me.

I'm obsessive about showering in the morning. Even if I'm heading to the gym on the weekend or if I'm staying home sick, I just feel crummy until I've showered.  At night, I love bubble baths Big Smile
