    Funny Useless Tidbits

Of Information you pick up during the day.  Today I was looking at the customs site or something... anyway I was trying to find out what the policy on bring dog food across the border was.  No real luck with that, but I did find out that if you buy a second hand mattress in the States, to bring it back you need documentation that it has been fumagated.  Darn!  And here I was planning all my over the border trips to collect second hand mattresses...  But if they have to be fumigated, I might as well buy them here...Stick out tongue

So have any of you picked up any info that you will absolutely never use?

I deal in minutiae--I work in a library, for God's sake!  You would not BELIEVE some of the questions the reference librarians get asked!  What's the average rainfall in Guanajuato in July? Are male seahorses called stallions? Where are the ADULT (wink, wink) videos in this library? How can I find out what is haunting my house?  The list goes on and on and on and...

     Do you know the answers?

Not off the top of my head, but I could pull it all up in a matter of minutes.  Does anyone (besides ME) actually know where Guanajuato IS? Beautiful city, BTW--I met DH there.

*raises hand*  Somewhere in Mexico?  It has kind of a familiar sound.  I think we drove through someplace that sounded like that on the way to or back from Mexico City.

Yup! The CITY of Guanajuato is the geographic center of Mexico. It is in the STATE of Guanajuato, north of Mexico, D. F. (known in English as Mexico City).

Isn't that amazing? Smile I can remember that from 40 years back, but I have no idea where my car keys are at the moment and I just used them about 1/2 hr. ago.

Anytime someone mentions Mexico... I always think of my uncle saying he had a 'dam wedding and a honeymoon in Hell'. Technically, he was married at an overlook at the Dam and while I don't know what the honeymoon was like... it was in Hell Mexico LOL I gotta say, I like any kind of info... useful or not so useful :)
