    rwbeagles-so sore today!

I painted my entire dining room yesterday and man do I hurt today! waah! I picked a nice sagey green color. It was this icky blah off white with various crayon drawings all over it (no IDEA who did those LOL). I made dh stay outta my way and did it all myself. Men are so MESSY when they paint aren't they?

Anyhow I am very pleased with the feeling in there now...much more intimate and 'finished' feeling.

Anyone else get any house things done this weekend? Oh...we put the tree up too..but I'll start a new thread for that.

If you want to see how all women paint, I'll post some pictures of my kitchen where my wife "helped" me. Stick out tongue

There are a very few activities worthy of waking up sore.  Painting is, most definitely, not one.  ;)

I don't even let Justin paint!  He usually ends up with more paint on him than on the walls!  I do all of the painting that gets done!  He said that he "doesn't know how to paint."  Umm, what's there to know?!

Haha, that's just an excuse (which you're buyin' I guess!) to get you to do it!

I watch a lot of those Home Imp shows and it is AMAZING to me the number of people out there who have NEVER painted a room before. CRAZINESS!

I kinda figured that!  It's easier for me to paint than it is for me to fuss at him until HE paints!  I get finished faster if I don't have to listen to him belly ache about it!

I painted my first room when I was still in primary school! Maybe you need a good massage. I woke up aching on the weekend after hiking out of our field site to get mobile reception when the car got stuck, then hiking back in, and then hiking back out again. The first time out took 20 minutes, but the second time it took over 30! The hike was straight up a mountain, and we set a pretty cracking pace for the benefit of our work mates down at the car fending off the leeches. A massage always makes me feel better after waking up sore. I'm teaching the boy good massage technique. Wink

Heck!  I'm still recovering from cleaning up for Thanksgiving!  I pretty much cleaned the whole house myself, still didn't get as much done as I would have liked, but it looks SOOOO much better.  The even harder part, is trying to get Emily and Hubby to keep it that way!  We have that flat surface syndrome, where if you see something flat (like a table) and there's nothing on it, it must get cluttered!!!!

I went out w/ my daughter and a couple of her friends Saturday night, since she's turned 21, I haven't gotten out to have a drink w/ her so we went down to a bar and did some dancing.  Needless to say, (I wasn't the designated driver, her friend was) I got pretty sloshed, feeling no pain, so we when we went dancing I got a little crazy and now my neck, shoulders and back hurt.  I feel like I got whiplash!  I couldn't understand why I was so sore, then I remembered swinging my head around, etc. being goofy, and am like, takin' 4 ibprofin and telling myself, I'm just too old for that sort a thing!  LOL  I haven't had the nerve to tell my daughter yet, I'm too embarrassed!

I painted 3 bedrooms a long hallway and my living room in about 3 days.  I can totally feel your pain Gina.  Who knew?  My legs ached from the 8 bazillion squats I did, and I won't even try explaining the fire in my arms.  Personally I don't mind the pain as long as I know the somehow I benefited from it.  But i was pretty stiff from it.  The trouble is, you never know its gonna hurt till the next day.

I've managed to unpack a couple more boxes, but nothing much more than that...Oh wait, i did make 6 more shelves the other night.

You must be young!  When you get older (usually) it doesn't hurt the next day, but two days later...then you're really like "what the heck, how come I'm so sore?"  Oh, well 2 days ago I did...., then you really feel OLD!!  But not too old not to remember, well, hopefully!

My husband and I both HATE painting, god knows we have done a lot of in the last 5 years.  We sold my old house, had to paint it to sell it - interior and extierior.  We bought a new house, had to paint the interior to suit my taste, plus it needed it and then we sold it.  Bought a another house.  We painted the bedrooms and then we gave up, both of us dredded painting the Liv, Kit, Din, Hallway and Bath so..  I HIRED A PAINTER and he finish just yesterday!  It cost some money but it was well worth it, I can't be happier.

PS:  My husband is the sloppest painteer I know.  He hates painting and he rushes and gets really sloppy!!
