Mindless chatter - The day after

SO much good food yesterday!  My mom makes incredible turkey, so both Honor and I overindulged in it.  Plus, my sister made the most incredible pumpkin-cream pie that only had 150 calories a slice!  Virtually guilt-free goodness.

Today, I've been cleaning the apartment.  I'm also waiting around for maintenance to come and do a repair.  They were supposed to be here an hour ago, but I figure they're running behind.  I think I'm going to start making cookies, because I told the girls at work that I would bring some in for Black Friday (I work for Victoria's Secret).  I'm actually glad that I didn't open this year, because I get to miss out on some of the craziness that this day brings!

I didn't get any sweet potato pie..  I wanted some so bad!  I got a lot of ham and tater salad though!  YUM!!  And birthday cake!  It was a pretty long day.  After we visited with everyone, we came home to decorate the tree, just to realize that I needed more lights.  My other ones were worn out.  I got the tree done though and it's pretty!  I cannot put the presents under the tree.  My cats will rip them open.  I feel a little better today.  I went to the doctor on Wed. and found out that I have a sinus infection.  No wonder I couldn't breath right! 

I was still full this morning from last  nights dinner ... so why did I have a pumpkin bar with my coffee?  I dunno. I guess because it was there and I could hear it calling me every time I walked by it.  Now I have to vacuum the dog hairs off the carpet, rearrange a couple of chairs and bring the tree in. Hopefully the lights still all work because I'd really hate to go out and buy lights for a pre-lit tree.

I slept until 9:30, took the dogs out for a while.  Now I'm just messing around on the computer.  I'm going to clean the house, clean the poop in the yard b/c I caught Kenya trying to eat a frozen turd, do some laundry, take the dogs for a walk, and then my best friend who is in town is coming over.  We're going out for dinner b/c it's DH's birthday tomorrow and then will probably hang out and watch movies.  We're all poor and feeling antisocial at the moment!

Hmmm, I better get started on those chores... 

Well, I had a nice lazy day today for the most part. Dakota is sick now though. I just can't get a break! I don't know if she has the bug Neiko had or if it's just her normal sensitive stomach acting up again. She didn't eat breakfast and turned her nose at treats (very unusual for her). I tried to feed her some prescription ID food and she ate about a tablespoon full. She threw it up though and has some seriously squirty poo. As usual, she has to go out every 10 mins or so. So, this will be another long sleepless night for me. I can tell that she's not a happy camper. All she wants to do is lay on her bed. I was supposed to go to the Nutcracker ballet tonight with my brother's family but with Dakota sick like this I'm going to stay home.

I didn't tackle my basement like planned but I did tear apart my hut tub to try to find the leak. No such luck. I can't see where it's leaking from. I guess I'll have to call the hot tub fixer guy next week. Hopefully that won't be too expensive. 

Hopefully everyone elses day is going better than mine! 

Ah, the day after.......you know, never seen the dogs sleep so much through out the year....is there a truth behind the turkey aftermath?

LOL......we enjoyed the day.....and today we had leftovers, and a start for serious decorations....
