Happy Thanksgiving! What are you Thankful for?

    Hey Everybody!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  A peaceful Thanksgiving, especially for those doing all the work!  I thought it would be fun to see what everyone is Thankful for!  I'll start...

I'm thankful for my family (all of my family, mom, dad, hubby, kids, etc)

I'm thankful for my health and good friends!  I'm thankful I won't have to spend this Thanksgiving w/ my sister in law!Zip it!  Sorry!  I'm thankful I have dog.com to come to and get advice on my naughty puppy!

     HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!

    Much love,

Janet, Tony, Emily, Misty, Tabitha & Tigger

What a nice idea for a thread!!!!! I'm thankful for my family and my health. I'm thankful for my talents and my shortcomings as they make me who I am! I'm thankful to Kate and Lani for helping me through a rough year and making me realize that there are more crazy girls just like me out there ;)

I've had a lousy year, but I am still thankful for so many things.

I'm so thankful for my wonderful family.  They may be crazy, but they are mine & I wouldn't trade them for all the money in the world.

I'm thankful for my friends.  They're always there for me.  They make me laugh at all the right times.  They make me cry at the right times, & I know that they are always just a phone call, email, or pm away.

I'm thankful for a great, albeit stressful job, my great dogs, my health as well as my family & friends health.

All in all, I'm thankful for everyday that I am alive.

This started out to be kind of a crappy year and went rapidly downhill, but I still have a lot to be thankful for.  I'm thankful that I'm healthy (at least I hope I am), I have a roof over my head and it isn't leaking, my kids turned out OK, I have Max in my life and the two weeks of "pretending" to keep him off the new back lawn are finally over, we've got reservations for dinner so I don't have to spend three days cleaning up the kitchen, my Christmas cards are all addressed and ready to mail and all my shopping is done.  All in all, not too shabby.

I am thankful for life, family, home, church, country and animals, for having a job and for being able to live in New Mexico (used to be Ca.) There is so much to be thankful for it would take days to list it all.

I'm thankful to Kate and Lani for helping me through a rough year and making me realize that there are more crazy girls just like me out there ;)

Awww Kel!  I'm so glad I clicked into this thread and saw this.  I think I can safely say, for me AND Lani, that you've held our hands just as much as we've held yours.  Smile

If I might be permitted to join in here even though we don't have Thanksgiving...

    • for my friends both around the corner and across the world.  I'm thankful when a friend drags me away from work to go grab a coffee, and when I get to hear, via MSN, a hilarious story from Nevada or California about the antics of dogs I have never met but love nonetheless.
    • for my DH and his sense of humour, Ben and HIS sense of humour, and the unconditional love I get from them both.
    • that I get to spend my days doing what I love.

oh boy. where to start! It's been a crazy year, filled with lots of good times, and just as many bad times. I'm thankful for everyone in my life - friends and enemies. People who have made me realize so many things about myself, and have made me so much stronger. My family for putting up with my craziness, insane attitude 'problem', and for allowing me to bring home as many animals as I do! My puppers Casey, who has taught me that it's ok to be scared, someone will always be there to help. All the friends that helped me through the passing of my Grandma (it's gonna be a tough next few holidays). Having a steady source of income in times when many are struggling.... and so much more! I would love to write more, but.. the turkey is ready!

Enjoy your days off (not all of us get them off..... just got home from work) =]

     I am thankful for:

    1. One more year with my BF (and best doggy daddy in the world) who is still well enough not to be on the transplant list.

    2. My family, human, canine, and equine.

    3. That I have enough wood pellets in the store room to get us through winter.

    4. All my friends and my loyal clients & their wonderful dogs

    5. My friends at MVNATC and UNACC who have graciously welcomed me into their midst and taught me many wonderful and valuable lessons.

    6. My cousin, who is cooking the bird.

I gotta say I'm so thankful for the relationships I've made with Tracy and Cathy.... these girls are GREAT! I'm thankful for my family and the close friends I have. And that I have Idog to answer all my questions... no matter how big or small :)

I'm truly thankful to be blessed with so much more than most people have.  A loving family, a great husband, loyal dog.  I thank God every day that I'm healthy and able to work.  That I have a home to come back to every night.

I was especially thankful for this wonderful day with 60 degree weather.  That rarely happens at this time of year.  For me, to be able to hike with my dog Thanksgiving day was very special for us.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Thankful for the company of my wife, family, friends, and pets.

Thankful to have a roof over my head and food on the table.

Thankful that I've been getting fairly quick work since losing my job last week.

Thankful that you dog-crazy people are here to share the passion.
