HELP need some advise immediately if anyone is out there.

April has been having a problem for about two weeks now with her back hind leg, she has a luxating patella, we have an appt. with a specialist on Nov. 26th.  I just returned from the Groomer's with her and when I brought her out to the car, I noticed something wrong with her left front paw, it just flopped around and she can not stand on it, I went back in and ask if maybe she had fallen or something they said no.  Brought her home and she can not walk without falling, and goes in circles, STroke?  I called the vet immediately, and can not get her in until 1:00 thankfully my own vet is there to see her at that time, at the moment there is no vets in the office.

Rusty had this same issue.  I don't recall the name of it and I'm sorry, but it's almost like they get stuck and can't come out of going in circles.  It's a neurological thing and I wish I could recall the name.  it's like a vertigo thing, but as I recall it isn't life threatening....just scarey for you.

Her front paw was useless, just hung there, is that a symptoms too and she just kept falling over, she got up a bit ago when my Husband called, I had emailed him, she seems a bit better, what causes this?

Yeah, the floppy feet ARE part of it.  I want to say it's vestibular disease, but I'm not sure that's the right name.  It's some sort of nuerological short circuit and it's usually transient.  I'm hoping that's all it is, hon.  I'll keep you both in my thoughts.

thanks you so much for your help, it eases my heart a bit as I sit here waiting for time to take her into the vet.

I know how scarey it is when something like this happens.  I remember so well the terror I felt the first time Rusty got "stuck" in the circle loop.  Please post back though and let us know what the vet says.

Poor April!!! Get well soon. Let us know how you make out. We had a cat come into our clinic with these symptoms about 2 weeks ago and it ended up being vestibular disease, and I just saw her in for her recheck last night and she is doing so much better. We're keeping you in our thoughts!
