Yay! He IS my dog! (Sera_J)

Logan is 14 weeks old now... and, like a puppy gets me up in the morning.

This morning he had to go potty about 5. Fine. Potty.

Back to bed.  He wanted to get up 7:30.  So we went potty and then I sat down on the sofa, per routine.  And he kept trying to go to the back of the house (where the bedrooms are) so I'd get up and call him back to the living room. Finally I followed him to see what the heck he was doing, as this was definitely a new thing.

He went to bed and tried to jump back up.  I said "THANK GOD!!" and we all went back to bed til 9.

    YAY!

Does everyone else have lazy pups, too?

You are a lucky one!  Mine are up and raring to go at 6AM, and I don't even work outside of the home!Sad

Oh yes!  Max is not an early riser.  He stays sacked out while I'm showering and dressing, then when he sees I'm ready to leave the bedroom, he gets up, stretches and dashes to the bedroom door so he can be the first one out. And pretty often during the day I'll find him back up on the bed snoozing.  I swear, if someone stayed in bed all day he'd be right there with them. Smile

YEAH!  It's funny b/c Peanut hears something outside around 7 and MUST fo see it, otherwise she whines!!  OK, I get up to let them out, but find only Peanut following me to the door.  Draico is usually in his crate, stretched & twisted, sleeping!  We don't lock them up in theier crates anymore, the doors are off.  Sometimes, both dogs will follow me out, but Draico will just stop & stare out the door.

Most of time, though, they go out, pee, and we all return and go back to sleep 'til about 9!  LOL - us lazies!

RexandBaby, aww, man! 6 am!?  .. whew.  I'd be one grouchy person!!  Hopefully they don't mind a nice long afternoon nap!

Joyce, Max can come stay in bed with me all day ANYTIME! :D  What a funny guy! I love me a lazy dog!

Ladiebug, yay for lazy-butts. I haven't slept in for awhile and boy, I can't say how much I've missed it!  Draico sounds like my kind of dog, although, I'm glad someone is looking out for ya, good baby, Peanut! :)

My Kenya is so lazy and well behaved in the house I took her to the vet for a heartworm test, I was convinced she had heartworm!

Cairo is the laziest dog I know!  I actively try to get him up when I get up in the morning (usually 10ish if I'm home on break) and he refuses to budge.  If I try to pick him up, he relaxes all his muscles and just flops.  It's gotten to the point where I'll just let him sleep in as late as he wants - I think his record has been around 3 in the afternoon - but 1 pm is pretty common.  I don't know how he holds his bladder that long actually...

Beau is pretty lazy too. Luckily, he usually waits for my alarm clock to go off at 6 a.m. (school starts at 8 most days so we have to get up). He has (thank god) gotten over his fear of the backyard, so now we run out, potty, and run back in for breakfast and meds. While I shower he eats and then he's back up in his bed or mine, snoozing on a fully belly. On mornings when I don't have to get up, rare though they are, he's more than happy to come back to bed with me and snuggle.

He's definitely the first dog I've ever been around that is completely content to nap with you anytime, anywhere. Just lay down with him, throw your arm around him, and hes ready to drift off to sleep. I love it.

Rocky will usually stay in the bed with me until I get up.  Dipper usually has me up around 5 or 6 to go out.  I'll take him out and sometimes he'll do his business and want back in, but some days, he has to check everything out to make sure it's in order.  I'll be standing outside, barefooted and in my pajamas waiting for the dog to inspect his yard!  Once he is satisfied, he'll come in and plop down on the couch and go back to sleep.  Brownie will not get up unless I coax her!  She's pitiful!  It's like she doesn't have the will power to get out from under the warm blankets!

My dogs don't even THINK about getting up until i do. It's quite nice!!

Emma hates me if I get up before 7. It makes her sooooo unhappy to be dragged out of bed, that sometimes, she won't even potty til she's good and ready. Last dog show we went to, I put her in the car and drove 35 minutes before she'd go potty.

Teenie's always ready to go. Then come back in and get under blankies. Teenie's life long desire is to live in a land of blankets.

On the weekends, the dogs usually can wait until 8 AM or so until their physical needs become urgent enough that they'll wake us up. If I still want to sleep in later, I let them out to wee, feed them, then go back to bed and we're good to go pretty much indefinitely after that. Especially in the winter when the sun doesn't come up until late, Marlowe really has to be dragged out of bed for his morning walk during the week.

Yes, both my dogs are really, really lazy. I am too, so we're a good match!

Nikki will snuggle til the cows come home... but I was getting a little nervous with Logan.  Granted he's still a puppy. ... I hope he grows up to be just as lazy as your doggies are!

... well maybe not quite as lazy as Cairo, LOL!!  That's one lazy puppy-dog! :o)

During the week I'm up at 6 am.......we fgo out to potty and Abbie goes back in her "house" (her crate....the door's always open). Layla comes into the bathroom with me and sleeps on the rug while I shower. After my shower, I get my coffee and give them a goodie, then they usually sack back out until it's light out, then I feed them and I'm off to work......feeling guilty, guilty, guilty with those sad eyes looking at me. On the weekends they will generally sleep in with me, which is usually around 8-9 am, then they do whatever they can to get me up and moving. I am not a morning person! But I can't sleep any later than that either. Abbie usually comes up on my pillow and wraps herself around my head sometime between 7:30 and 8:00. I'm so glad they let me get my rest!! They're such good girls!!! :)

After they've eaten and been outside, Rosie and Trooper are happy to sleep all morning... and as late in the afternoon as necessary. When I have to get up early, Trooper gets up long enough to see if he's going to be coming with me--if the cues aren't there, he climbs back into bed.
