This Sunday, Oct. 21, is Hope for Animals' annual Dog Day Afternoon at Peltier Park in Thibodaux, Louisiana. It consists on a non-professional dog with with such catagories as Most Obedient, Best Tail Wag, Best Smile, etc. and pet photos with Santa. Registration is from 10 am-12:30 pm. Dogs participating in the show need proof of vaccination and must remain leashed. Blessing of the Animals is set for 12:30, and the show starts at 1:00. Raffle prizes will be announced throughout the show, and food items, including jambalaya, will be for sale.

Hope for Animals is a non-profit rescue organization that operates in Lafourche, Terrebonne, and surrounding areas, and all proceeds go to the care of dogs and cats in our program.
