• Best. Office. Ever. houndlove Posted : 1/25/2007 10:10:30 AM So we're actually getting quite a bit of snow here in Pittsburgh today so I used that excuse to work from home today. There's really rarely a reason for me to go to the office, but I do it because it's expected of me. But in crappy weather or for whatever extenuating circumstance I can work at home. I'm sitting on my couch with my laptop, and Conrad is sleeping one one side of me and Marlowe is sleeping on the other. Both of them have their noses stuck under my legs. They've already had their first walk of the day and now there's nothing to do but sit in the warm and look out at the pretty snow. Pretty awesome. I guess I should actually get down to some real work, huh? • Maxs Mom Posted : 1/25/2007 6:04:44 PM I love it when they allow me to work from home. I get the opportunity from time to time if I have to wait for a repair man or something. I get so much more work done and I am surrounded by my dogs.   I even got to take my dog to work with me one day. She had an appointment follow up to her TPLO surgery at MSU (about 1 1/2 hours from home), they didn't have late hours, so I asked since our office was during a quiet time (we handle conferences/meetings) could she come? They said yes! Maxine loved it. She slept for the most part under my desk but got up when people came in to see her. I work at UM hospital other offices let their employees bring their dogs. Must be nice, but I understand with so much traffic normally through our building not to mention catered functions. • houndlove Posted : 1/25/2007 6:08:40 PM There are actually several people who bring their dogs to the office where I work (a university). It isn't officially allowed but people do it anyway. I would probably do it a lot more (I've done it a couple times) if I had my own office. But I share an office with someone else and I don't like to impose my dogs on her. This summer one of the professors in my office suite got an aussie puppie and he brought her into the office nearly every day for a few weeks. It was so awesome! I got puppy kisses every day!
