Conrad is not a happy camper about having his nails clipped. DH and I have to sort of conspire for one of us to distract him and the other to dart in and clip a nail as fast as possible.
Marlowe, once he's switched himself to "off" (happens about 8 PM every night), does not like to be woken. You can move him all around, shove him, rest your drink on him, none of that is a problem. Just don't ask him to actually
do anything.
Neither dog is that thrilled about their morning walks. Once they get out there they suck it up, but they both try to act invisible in the mornings to try to avoid it. Marlowe usually sleeps on the futon at night, which is covered by a black throw to keep the dog hair off of it. Marlowe, being black himself, tries his very hardest to blend in to it when I come stumbling downstairs in the morning: "If I don't move, she won't see me."
Marlowe also hates it when you make him wait for his meals. If we're just hanging around in the kitchen or dining room wasting time, around a mealtime, Marlowe makes it very clearly known that it is TIME and stop SCREWING AROUND! There is serious business to attend to!
This has nothing to do with me, but Conrad hates inclement weather. He will hold his pee until his eyeballs are floating if the alternative is to go out in the rain and potty. If you make him go, be prepared for some very dirty looks.
