The UK is, as a rule, a very dog-friendly place.  It doesn't surprise me that a study like that was done here, but I am very happy about the results they reported.  I know that having Ben has had a beneficial effect on me in a lot of ways.

well i miss the travel the most - its one thing to take a weekend break in Praque or Vienna vs NYC (where I'm originally from), Chicago etc.
    Miss the history
Miss the BBC & Sky TV and radio 2 (but that streams over the net so I'm saved - Love Steve Wright!)
    Miss The Sunday Times
    The non-chain pubs
The golf,  Scotland and various other things
We have imported mini-cheddars, marmite, HP sauce, Heinz beans, Bisto, Oxo and a few other things
I enjoyed my time there but don't miss much of Manchester especially don't miss the weather [:'(]
I go over 1x per year and hubby goes over a couple x's for family visits
    Now get to work!

Karen, you can find some HP sauce in some international food stores.  DH loves HP Fruity & the curry sauces.  I've found them in an international store.

yes I know but its the reverse of when we lived there - the cost is extraordinary
There's a store called Selfridges which is very upmarket and they would stock Oreos.  The long slender pack that you get here at travel stops for like a $1 were nearly $8!!!
With going over on a regular basis its no problem slipping them into the suitcase [;)]
Not going over until September next year but DH's daughter (age 26) is coming over in April so we'll put an order in!
