DIL's friend called all the area police depts. near where they found the dog. A call came today from someone who has been looking for their basset FOUR towns away from where Buster was found.
He's 5 years old and had been missing 2 days and the nights have been COLD.
My DIL called them back and when learning his name she turned and said "Buster" he bounced off her sofa and flew to her wagging his tail for the first time.
She met his owners and the second he saw their car he was a bouncing happy Basset.
She feels good - which she should cause he was quite a distance from home, lost his collar and another night in this weather might have been his end. Today was miserible.
