How Marlowe Spent his Day Today

Oh No Marlowe!!  Ya not only got into the trash but you also spread it out *everywhere*!  Cressida, think of it this way - could have been worse, could have chewed something like walls or doors or whatever that your landlord would have loved you for!
 
We used to wake up in the morning to similar scenes if we forgot to close Sammy into our room for the night....  we also now have a much heavier garbage can!
 
Are you making DH clean it all up? []
 
 

Uh oh!!  This looks like my house when we accidentally leave the diningroom door open and Lady makes her way to the kitchen garbage can.

Rut row!  Marlowe, not cool dude!  How's he doing with the caffein injestion?  That worries me.

Thanks everyone, Marlowe's doing fine. He's come down quite a bit and is happily chewing on a bone. I sat with him for a bit to listen to his heart and make sure he wasn't shaking or anything and he doesn't appear to be too speeded up. Just a little bit. It's like having a normal dog actually, since Marlowe is normally so chilled out.  I think by bed time he'll be ready to crash. This did happen once before and after a nice long walk, he was fine. He didn't hoover down the coffee grounds but I'm sure he ingested some while chewing up all that other fun stuff. I am so glad that he's not a dog who actually eats non-food items. He just chews them up and spits them out.
 
I had to clean it up though. DH gets home about an hour later than me, and I wasn't about to leave all that crap on my wall-to-wall for that long!  Then we took a nice long walk with some off-leash play time, and Marlowe hauled some soup cans in his backpack.

I'm glad he's doing better.  Silly boy.

Maybe he was just separating the trash for recycling? [8D]

Silly Marlowe! I'm glad you didn't eat anything but a few coffeegrounds!! [:'(] Did your mom growl at you when she got home? [:@]

I think I just said, "*Sigh* Marlowe."
 
Anyway, I thought I'd compile a partial list of things he didn't eat or chew up that he had total free access to for the entire day: My digital camera, my computer, my computer cord, about 5 lbs. of dog foot just sitting in an open bag in the middle of the kitchen floor (you can see it in the background in that photo), the cat food, the cat litter (I know, I'm as shocked as you are!), several books and records, several houseplants, an entire rack of shoes, the shower curtain....I could go on.

So, in the grand scheme of things, not such a big deal. And Marlowe is currently cured up next to me, not quite sleeping but not vibrating off the couch either.

Well having to clean up the mess aside, it looks like Marlowe had a great time today.[]

OH Marlowe you doorknob! Eek.... could have been worse, for sure. How did he miss the dog food bag??
