Speeding Cars (Neighbors)

• Speeding Cars (Neighbors) Michael H Posted : 1/10/2007 12:32:23 AM I'm wondering if any of you ever get annoyed by your neighbors who speed past your house at 30 mph or more?  I was out letting my dog pee near our mailbox, and this guy must have been going 40 mph right past me!  I waved my hand up and down and said "slow down."  We were probably 4 feet from the car.  That doesn't help though.  They'll probably just think you're crazy.  How do you deal with it?  There is nothing you can do is there?  It's so annoying.  I never drive faster than 20 when I drive up the street.  It's a small neighborhood that goes around in a U-shaped circle attached to a main road.  LIKE 10 REPLIES 366 VIEWS LAST POST JEANO Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Whenever I visit, I'm afraid to walk the dogs because people go flying through so fast we literally have to run out of the way of speeding cars. My parents have complained several times and we've never seen an officer in their neighborhood, so I don't think they're taking the complaints seriously. Kids play in the streets there...it's only a matter of time before someone's child, or dog, ends up dead. • cyclefiend2000 Posted : 1/10/2007 9:36:34 AM i am more concerned about the idiot kids that live in our neighborhood. 1. cars drive too fast in our neighborhood. 2. idiot kids dont seem to realize that the cars out weigh them by several thousand pounds and therefore dont bother to get out of the street when one is approaching. one day one of them will get hit. maybe that will slow people down, but i doubt it. since there arent any sidewalks in our neighborhood, it is dangerous to even walk the dogs. i have to keep the leash short and lots of times get into other people's yards because of inconsiderate drivers. it's a neighborhood damn it not a race track. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • marynh Posted : 1/10/2007 11:27:28 AM the side road where I live is fine, but the main road (residential) is a speed zone!!! And usually out of staters [:@] (lot of 2nd homes here). My son once nearly got hit by a guy's side view mirror. The guy was flying and he got so close to my son if he had tripped he would have been killed. I taught that driver some new words!!!
