"FREE TO good home, Yellow Lab, male 9 mos. hyper dog, but great temperment, must go to good home or
will be put down"
I just called the guy and the dog is gone. I've never seen that before. I can't believe someone would really say "give my dog a home or it's dead". Fricken butt heads.
Also to add to this without making another thread. My MIL came home to a litter of kittens. She did not want them, and she could not find them homes. The HS was going to charge her $60 per cat for drop off. My Aunt also has 2 litters at her home and because she lives in the city she was told to get rid of the cats or the town was going to fine her. There are 10 cats in total, she can't afford to drop them off at HS, and she already has 3 indoor cats. I know the HS gets alot of drop offs and they are struggling right now, but with them charging people, it's not going to be good. The animals will end up being killed.
My FIL being an old farmer was going to kill the kittens himself, but they had a friend with a farm down the road take them. Which is no better, these cats are going to breed and breed and breed and over populate the farm. I see it at so many farms already. My Aunt is trying to come up with the monsy to drop off her 10. But shes laid off right now.
I wish people would be responsible for their pets and stop putting it on other people who can't afford it.
