Horse that thinks it's a dog

A cute story about a Sheltland foal:

"Rory was rejected by his mother after he was born in Colchester on Friday the 13th of October. After arriving at the sanctuary he became ill and spent all his time being nursed in the office - attracting the interest of labradors Alfie and Millie, owned by stable manager Sam Edwards."

I'm not so sure that treating the pony like a dog will be good for it or its future owners (how would you like a horse jumping up on you to say "hello"?), but it's still a cute story.

    Oh that is too funny!
Can you imagine a year from now, walking your dog to your local park and seeing someone palying fetch on the lwan with their horse, ha ha! As you get closer he asks, can he play with your dog? Oh that would be great!

    thats a cool story
my miniture stallion Frankie and my dog Xena play alot
they are they same age and they wrestle and chase each other
it is very interesting to see 2 different types of animals get along so well

All the dogs I've had have always thought horses were just BIG dogs! Funny to see that turn round the other way! What a cutie he is!

My TB was "rejected" by his mother. The only thing she put up with for a short while was nursing. She didn't want him around other times. So he was raised by a german shepard. The breeder sent me the cutest pic. He is now almost 22, he has been a very successful show horse on the east coast and midwest. He loves my dogs, especially my golden retriever Max. She will sit by him, and he will start licking her until she is soaking wet. The two of them were well known at the shows. My trainer was at an out of state show, and she was looking for a professional rider to sit on some of our horses and show them. She approached this one rider and introduced herself and told her where we were from and the first thing out of the riders mouth was "aren't you the folks with the golden and the chestnut?"

I also think since I am involved in both horse and dogs worlds, it is a fine line between horse and dog people.

What a precious little foal.  That picture of him carrying a stick is a hoot, and how cute is he in his little blue coat!? [:D]

I had miniature horses when I was younger. One I bought as a weanling would play fetch with me--with frisbees, sticks, etc. He was such a cute little guy.

Ann... you do realize you can't tell us that story without posting pictures of them, right? [:D] (I jest, I jest, it just sounds irresistably adorable)

A friend of mine boarded a GSD this summer for another friend of mine.  Zia the GSD found out that she is actually a horse in a dogs body.  She would line up every morning with the horses for grain, would drink out of the trough, and my friends daughter would tie her to a tree where Zia would stand and let Mia groom her with the horse brushes.

Sorry Cita about not posting pictures. However I am technology inept [:D] I haven't figured out how to do an avatar yet, let alone post a picture. Usually it is the size restraints that stop me. My pics always seem too big.

My computer at work is more capable of editing (not necessarily the person working the computer though) however I usually don't have the time. I want to post pics really I do. I love my children (they all have 4 legs and a tail), I am a very proud mother and I want to show them off. I only have a photo copy of the pic of Sayler with his GSD so I wouldn't be able to post that anyway.

I haven't investigated to far yet on this website, can anyone tell me can you post pics from your hard drive or do you have to use something like photo bucket? One of my forums you can only post from a website.
