My dog is hilarious!!! Anyone else's?

We were watching the Dog Whisperer the other day and there was a scene with a woman's dobies running through a field.  Dash, my Cocker Spaniel, ran over to the tv and sat at attention watching the tv.  Then he got up on his hind legs to try and get a better look.  It was the most hilarious thing to see!!  He keeps us entertained doing stuff like this all the time!  He is only a little over a year old so I suppose it could be his age.

So what hilarious things have your dogs done?

Oh ya Hawk does that all the time.  Sometimes he looks behind the tv to see where the sound and animals are.  Dogs are such goofs

We have one technology advanced doggie too (the other one could not care less). She watches TV on occasions (fast movements, animals or animals sounds or big contrast scenes only) but it is when she watches stuff on the computer that she really cracks me up. She will look at the screen then at the green light on the CPU that is on the floor and so on. Some videos will get her attention and a few still pictures but she is picky on the quality of the programming. [8|]

I've got one better, my dog (Xerxes-not Gaia) not only watches TV but also changes the channels on the remote-if I leave it lying down somewhere.  It never fails that he'll step on the remote and all of a sudden I'll be watching lifetime...huh?!?!?!

Sure, my two Siberian's are always doing funny things.  TV is different to each dog.  What one is interested in is not necessarily what the other dog is interested in.  I love it when they follow a ball being tossed across the screen.

Another thing is laser, pointer lights...they know it is from the pen, but they go ape over the light being gleened across floor and wall.  I like to put it on the male's paw, and the female just trounces him.  (And he won't do that to her!) He looks so surprised and bit unnerved, but it is sooo fun!

One thing that is incredibly hilarious is when one dog gets to go for a ride, and the other has to stay home.  The antics start out with soft sobbing, and rise to this sound of "many huskies howling"  and it is still only one little dog...just bawling away.  I know, funny to me, but not to the poor neglected puppy!

    Pups are priceless!

The funniest thing any of our dogs have ever done is what the eldest does on a regular basis..... when he farts, he leaps up and runs away!!!  Never fails to make us laugh.

When Sofia farts she looks accusingly at her butt, glaring.

When I fart, Shadow looks at me, glaring.

When we would see dog sled shows especially, he would run to the hall behind the t.v. to see the other end of the dogs. When he realized that the t.v. is showing something outside the house, he would want to go outside to see them. Now, he doesn't do it as much, anymore.

But if a doorbell rings on t.v., he will bark at the door.

Another thing that Dash is funny with is sounds.  He loves his squeaky toys.  He will sit and squeak one to death and annoy the dickins out of us when we are trying to watch tv.  When we were camping one of our friends brought one of those squeaky plastic books for her baby.  The moment she squeezed it Dash jumped up and ran over thinking it was one of his toys.  Any new sounds he hears attract him too.

He also LOVES ice.  But you can't just give him a peice of ice.  It has to come out of the ice maker on the front of the freezer and you have to drop it on the floor.  You can't just set it down or hand it to him.  It's so funny!

Caleb watches TV almost every day.  Normally he just watches from where he's laying, and he's not particular about the show.  This morning, tho, he was really taken with an old episode of Breed All About It (the one on Bassets).  Not only did he go up and start sniffing the TV, he walked around behind it when he couldn't find the dog.

I knew a horse that did that.  It's a little bit more serious with a horse though.  It took me a minute to figure out why I was on the ground.  I got back on and rode around the arena once more and saw the butt mark I had made in the soft dirt when I slipped off.

Shadow is an accomplished chewer/shredder. His yellow football starts out in life as a squeaky toy. He will chew off at least one end until it stops squeaking. He will still play with it but the first thing he does is stop the squeaking.

Squeaky toys are high value toys around my house, they are also short lived toys around the house.  Bevo earns a squeaker and runs through the house squeaking it obsessively.  He has to show everyone in the house that he has a squeaker.  He just looks so proud of himself.

Both dogs will sit at the TV if something catches their attention.  If there's a show where the dog is given commands to shake or high-five, Peanut tries to shake.  Draico has actaully licked the se a few times because he liked what he saw.

The funniest is when Draico farts sometimes, Peanut will sneeze-snort and leave the room.  I don't blame, some of those things can choke!

M-ster is a regular canine comedian - he thinks its hilarious to go and dig up one of my bras from the bedroom and show it off. Last week the plumber who was working on our bathroom got the unexpected surprise of the lingerie review.

Sometimes he likes to snort around in DH's gym bag and get his socks out for a review.
