    any of this sound toxic?

well, i gave Wyatt another chance to be out while i was gone. It was unsuccesful. He got into my bag that i take to work and ate/tore up the following:

nail file...half is gone, other half is, i guess, in his stomach

    2 packages of chewing gum

the plastic package to my birth control pills

    a granola bar

    a peanut/sunflower seed bar

half a bag of sunflower seeds (without shells)

    tampon wrapper

    possibly a pepto bismol

    chapstick

and who knows what else...any of that sound like it's gonna be a huge deal??

My dog has ate worse and survived. The one I would be concerend about is the nail file, is it a metal one or a emery board?

And the BC pills, are you sure it was just the wrapper?

I remember something about gum....xylitol (sp) that could potentially be a problem. I'd be looking up the gum ingredients...

Sounds like Sammy.  He ate through his (plastic) crate so is uncrated until the new one is delivered.  We've lost a bag of protein powder, a loaf of bread, 5lbs of sugar, 4 boxes of cereal and a box of ziplocks so far.

I'd keep an eye on him for a few days, but nothing other than the nail file sounded too bad, unless as mentioned, the gum had xylitol or he ate all your BC pills

Tell Wyatt to be a good boy from now on! Wink

thanks guys. Yeah, it was an emory board. ..and no pills were taken. He seems to be doing well...he had a few audible farts and some runny poop, but feels great! I feel like i have to post a question about him eating something crazy all the time Huh?

silly Wyatt! Hope he is fine and it sounds like he will - good thing he's gorgeous ay?

The gum is probably the worst of it

I would DEF worry about the gum.  Especially if it's "sugar free".  Xylitol is toxic to dogs.

The only thing that would concern me is the gum. But a dog will typically tell you if he's feeling badly, so just keep an eye on him!

(I have to admit I had a bit of a chuckle at how much he was able to consume. Dogs destroy the most seemingly random items sometimes)
