The War on Terror is being waged in our yard...

I wanted to tell you about Lucy's fight to protect the American Way from the terrorist squirrel that has infilitrated our front yard. She is convinced that he has been hiding Improvised Explosive Devices in the yard cleverly disguised as acorns and has been diligent in her duty to warn us of his evil plot. I took some surveillance photos of her during a secret meeting with the ringleader - Osquirrel bin Laden. The photo may look like a civilized diplomatic exchange, but still photos do not reveal that the negotiatians had to be called to a halt because Osquirrel would only chatter and scream his terrorist propaganda while Lucy quivered and shook with her eagerness to take him down. Lucy's strategy has been to sit as quietly as possible under the tree until the Enemy's irresitible urge to taunt her brings him into her reach. Our war on terror will continue until the Osquirrel bin Laden has been eliminated - or goes back into hibernation. (I'm hoping something happens before my front drapes become collateral damage!)

Ha ha, I think the war on terror is being waged all over America!!!  My brother's dog Toby was in a skirmish this morning as well!!!!

Yeah, we seem to have a cell in our yard as well. Unfortunately, Marlowe's instinct to bark his ever-lovin' head off every time he sees one has ruined any chance for sneak attack or negotiation. But at least all the neighbors now know of the danger that walks among them!

    I love that picture!

[sm=biggrin.gif]  hahaha  -- now THAT'S funny!  I've got to send this to my dad, he'll crack up!  I hope the negotiations will lead Osquirrel bin Laden back into hibernation.

Unfortunately, that's her strategy INSIDE the house! It's like having our own Homeland Security warning system. When outside, she stalks and turns into a one dog Army Special Forces Unit.

That is the best picture...I love it!!!

See what my dogs miss out on living in a condo with no yard!! [8D]

    Loved it! Too cute!!

Our boys have certainly not mastered the "sneak attack" for the infiltrators in our yard either. They're sure to let me know when they see them from inside the house, but their excitement tends to spoil their attack - they tear out of the back door like bats out of h*ll, thus warning the enemy of their not-so-stealthy approach!! [:D]

Thank goodness, we are well protected here, too.  The front lines are manned by our Aussie Special Forces unit.  Should any enemy combatants break through the line, our Humvee Hound would certainly save the day.  But, if by some slim margin, Osama bin Squirrel managed to enter, he would be immediately dispatched by our Yorkshire Terrorist Furminator for sure. [:D]

    Cute photo - cute thread.

I can't see the photo, but I must let you know that we have a hideout in the maple tree ont he corner.  They have a "highway" in front of our second story (the phone lines) and Gypsy keeps a vigil to keep us safe from the "tree rats" that have invaded our safe world!

Haha, this is a cute thread. We have them here too, the stray cat gang keeps them moving. Kord isn't to worried about them, he is more interested in what the Flapper bird gang is up to.
