    What is Damon??

Damon is my roomates dog whom I've become very attached to. She tells me he is half Pitbull, half Australian Sheppard. His coloring is absolutely perfect and he has one blue eye and one brown eye. What are your opinions on his breed?

I see the half Aussie but I'm thinking Rottie rather than Pit.

I was thinking Rott as well

    Thanks

Looks almost like he could be a Catahula. He looks quite a bit like my neighbor's dog, and that dog is supposed to be 3/4 Catahula. The color is right, but Damon looks alittle too heavy boned for some of the purebreds I've seen.

    He lives to eat...seriously.

Very striking fellow!  I say rottie/aussie.

Here a few pics of Catoula's I got off yahoo...the bottom pic resembles Damon a little

ROFL... Silly people! I do not see a pit, or a Rottie nor an Aussie!

    He's a Catahoula

i dont see pit either. i think his coloring looks more ACD than australian shepherd.

edit: his ears arent big enough, but he looks kinda like some bluetick coonhounds (not sure what the correct breed name is) i have seen too.

i agree on the ACD...i do see some pit in that sweet wide face though.

Catahoula dog.  He's got the slightly heavy, but not overdone build that I've always loved to see in Catahoulas.  They coloring is typical of the breed.  The ears aren't quite as floppy as they could be, but it's still a working breed and there's lots of variation still between lines.

That's what I thought as well.  He's got the muscly bone structure and that "look" that would scare a cow back in line or freeze a hog long enough...

Catahoula....I definitely see it. BUT it could be an ACD in there too

His temperament: His #1 priority is food, then attention. He growls if I pet him then stop. He loves to play...sometimes too hard. He has taken a chunk out of my hand and ripped open a finger (while playing). He lives with a pug and gets along with her well. He's a very smart dog

He looks like a Catahoula or a Catahoula mix.
