Oh, and just so you know, I'll be the first to admit, I am the BIGGEST breed idiot on the planet, honestly. I know ALL about the breed I own (and I STILL have a hard time telling the difference between SOME of the bully breeds), but as far as other dogs are concerned, WOW, I'm CLUELESS.

Well, I had someone today meet Marlowe and say, "Hey, don't they uusually do [crop] the ears of that breed?" Um, no. Marlowe is not a doberman. Not by a looooong shot! []

Aw! Marlowe is BEAUTIFUL. His coat is REALLY shiny! Was it like that when you adopted him, or is it all the special love and good food you're giving him that makes him so shiny?

Someone once *told* me (not asked, told) that Ben must be a border collie - but I make mistakes about breeds all the time too!  A few days ago at the park I asked someone if his dog was a pointer, and it turned out to be a dalmation x.  (I thought pointers could be spotted?) 
 
Anyway, great job on the books, Xeph! What a good friend you have.

Oh, and I want those books badly as well!

Don't worry pointers can be spotted too!  My friend has an English Setter that always gets called a long-haired dalmation.  Just remember setters have long fur and a fanned tail and the majority of pointers are smooth coated.  It's when you think a lemon and white pointer is a lab or a pit bull is when you may need to read a bit more up on dog breeds.

I got The Other End of the Leash and Bones Would Rain from the Sky for Christmas.  I started on Other End... and am finding it fascinating!!

Yes, I hear good things about all three books

If I include the GC, I have gotten $195 from this woman o.o  She had a heart attack not too long ago, and I went out and washed all 8 of her shelties for her.  I refused money (much as I needed it).  Ended up driving the 40 minutes home, reached in my pocket to grab my cell phone....check for $150.  She'd given it to me, and with her personality (very old fashioned Southern hospitatlity type thing), I knew she wouldn't take it back....and I was in bad need of money.

Since then, I have been going out to help her with her dogs (19 total) but I have absolutely refused any payment since. "I'm all done Belinda! See you later!" and out the door before she can try and give me anything.  It is nice to have such friends, and, while I can't afford to buy her anything more than a card, I'm more than happy to help her out with her dogs anytime.  Hard to find friends like Belinda ^_^  I certainly do appreciate her.

These three books are up there with my new Digicam!
